My grandfather only used Cobra clubs. He lived on a golf course and always demo’d clubs, but had a ton of Cobras. Before he passed, he gave me his Cobra FW woods. My grandmother sold his other clubs. I remember him distinctly using the Rusty because he would spend hours around the green showing me how to chip. It drove me crazy. Now I have all my own Cobra s2 series and it would be nice to finish it off with a good ol’ Trusty Rusty.

Wow….so glad to see these re-issued. I still have my original Trusty Rusty gap wedge. These wedges are deadly accurate, and I just love the way the tri-sole sets up. After getting my original Trusty Rusty gap wedge, I tried and tried to find one of the 57* ones……but never could. Would loved to have one of the new ones.

I remember first seeing a Trusty and being immediately obsessed. Call it love at first sight or whatever you like, I simply wasn’t satisfied until I had one.
It just worked, and being a young player without a lot of things to compare it against, you can forgive me for eventually passing it on or trading it in for something newer.
Could this wedge possibly live up to my memory of it? Years of pining for something that I once held in my hands – the unavailable savior of ever chili-dip, double dip and scull that I have ever had since I let mine go.
Prove me right Cobra. I’ve tried the rest, I want the RUST.

The Trusty Rusty 61 is the perfect complement to my In Sync Copper 56
I play the older shorter courses in the NorthEast, once off the fringe of the greens the grass
is long & gnarly to offset the new bombers
The Trusty Rusty 61 has given me the added loft to escape this punishment along with the
soft touch when I short side myself
Thank you Cobra for keeping me a single digit handicap as I have turned 60

Just the name of “Trusty Rusty” speaks volumes to Cobra Wedge fans both old and young. The new updated version promises to “mature” to a nice patina of oxidation, enhancing both spin and looks, but I love most the Tri-Bounce feature that will make it a snap to open or close the face to hit a variety of creative shots! An instant modern classic that will have one confidently seeking pins and even hole outs! I carry too many wedges as it is now, and I can chuck at least 3 with addition of a Trusty Rusty!

I carry 4 wedges (60,56,54 & 52 degrees). The design of the “Trusty Rusty Wedge” is equivalent to my 60, 54 & 52 degree wedges. “Trusty Rusty Wedge” could be played on a sand box as well as hard pan condition. “Trusty Rusty Wedge” will definitely improve my concentration and game management. I’ve been looking for a wedge of this design for a very long time.
