(5) Testers Wanted: Cobra Connect Challenge II – The Full Bag Edition

(5) Testers Wanted: Cobra Connect Challenge II – The Full Bag Edition

Everyone likes to test drivers. And everyone likes to test irons. And wedges too.

How would you feel about testing all three, plus a state-of-the-art data tracking system…for the entire golf season?

You might call it the Mother of all Product Tests!

Cobra F8-16

We’re calling it MyGolfSpy’s 2nd annual Cobra Connect Challenge. We’re looking for FIVE of you to test, review (and keep!) an entire set of Cobra’s 2018 equipment for a summer-long competition with your fellow testers using Cobra’s custom Arccos platform, Cobra Connect.

Yes, we said an entire set.

A Bagful of Cobra

The five golfers selected will receive a full bag of Cobra, featuring the new F8/F8+ driver, F8 fairways and hybrids, F8 irons and KING wedges – all custom built to your specs. You’ll also receive MyGolfSpy’s newly crowned Most Wanted Stand Bag, the Cobra Ultralight, to carry it all.

But testing the new Cobra gear is only part of the plan. Cobra believes data is the key to getting better, so our testers will log their data for the entire 2018 season using the Arccos-powered Cobra Connect system that’s standard throughout the entire set. You’ll use that data to power your practice and improve your game.

Cobra F8-40

Here’s How It Works:

The five chosen testers will first receive a full Arccos 360 set for their current gamers and will spend the first month of the challenge setting a performance baseline. Once the new Cobra gear arrives, you’ll spend the rest of the season practicing, playing, and tracking your data all while discussing your journey in the MyGolfSpy Forum and on social media.

Along the way, Cobra will offer up competitions and prizes to help keep things interesting.

How’s that for a way to spend the 2018 golf season?

Cobra F8-8

How To Apply:

This one’s a biggie. We’re asking you to make a and a season-long commitment – so please follow these instructions to the letter:

First, to be eligible, you must be an active member in good standing the MyGolfSpy Community Forum (click here to register if you haven’t already). This review opportunity is open to any golfer in the U.S. or Canada.

You must also – and ONLY – apply in the Official Cobra Connect Challenge II Application Thread in the MyGolfSpy Community Forum (click here).

You must be prepared to commit your 2018 golf season to the new Cobra F8 gear, using the Cobra Connect system to help improve your game, and to sharing your journey in the MyGolfSpy Community Forum.

Oh…and winning additional prizes along the way.

As you know, MyGolfSpy takes its product testing very seriously, and we expect a lot from our reviewers. In this case, we’re asking for a season-long commitment that includes on-course play, social media interaction, and a substantial amount of MyGolfSpy Forum participation. In return, you get a full bag of new gear, the chance to win some great prizes, and have a blast along the way.

Remember, you must apply in the Official Cobra Connect Challenge II Application Thread in the MyGolfSpy Forum. We’ll announce our testers in that thread next week.

Good luck!

As a retired engineer, I understand data & love to tinker and improve my game.

I play 4 times a week, and practice extensively two other days.

What a chance to get an accurate read-out of what is going on and get clues on how to improve!

Have I even mentioned the great quality of the new COBRA clubs and how well they have been received???

I’ll give you a really good test of these clubs as I was thinking about purchasing the F7 one. But the F8 one is intriguing with the arcos set up. Though I’m sceptical of the Arcos system so will play play play. play in two leagues each week, sub in 1 league most weeks, and get a round or two more in a lot of weeks.

I sure hope everyone that replied “sign me up” actually took the time to register on the forum and apply through the proper channels. It’s an awesome opportunity for 5 players willing to put in the time, work and commitment to the testing, not just looking for a free set of clubs to play.

I have tried Cobra Amp irons in the past and really loved the feel .
I am 14 handicap and play on a superb condition link.
I would love it because I need new clubs with new grips ,and everything else mine are way worn out.
,I would test them and give a fair share of positive feedback .

I’m only interested in One length clubs, the F8 irons with but cobra connect intrigues me but would love to try it first to see if it really works as advertised, play in 2 or 3 leagues weekly as well as other enjoyment rounds.

Have played a single plane (Moe Norman type as taught by Graves Academy) for 3 years with regular set of clubs…would love to try the single length Cobra irons with this swing…. it seems to have some value in the wedge to 7 iron.

I have ben using the Arccos driver tracker the few times I have gotten out this year and love the feedback and info I get from it. I had ben thinking of getting the whole set and this would be a great way to do it.

I would love a chance to test out new clubs and use the Arccos system.

My job at a university allows for lots of time in the summer months to play golf at the school’s course.

This would be great! I have a bag full of 10+ year old Cobras that I would like to pass on to my son. We live on a golf course, I play around 4 times per week, competitive in tournaments and once upon a time I was a consumer product tester for a manufacturer in Grand Rapids. My index is a 12.7, so I have a lot of room for improvement. Please pick me! :)

Sure would love to participate. I’m currently holding a 3.3 handicap and play Cobra Bio Cells currently. I play at least two to three times a week on the course and I have a home simulator which gets a workout at least 4 additional rounds per week. You would get a lot of data out of me.

This sounds like a great deal. The only problem is that I think that the F8 clubs are better than I am. I’m actually looking at a set of F Max irons right now. I wish that they were available for this test…

      WHAAAAAAAAAAAA??!!

I would LOVE to be part of this opportunity. Sure, I’ll probably represent your “high” handicap baseline, but you need that too, right?

My first driver love was a Cobra ZL. It feels nice, sounds nice and boy could I blast it into the atmosphere. I only gave it up to move on to a driver and shaft that I could better tailor to my needs.

I’ve sampled the F8 drivers, woods and hybrids in store and they are great and offer that same feel I got from my old ZL. I would absolutely love to represent the entire line.

Hard to give up my custom fitted Calaway Apex CF 16’s and my mongrel collection of wedges and fairway woods, not to mention a custom M2 driver. However, would consider for the right set of Cobra products which I have not used since the days of the Cobra Greg Norman forged irons.

Would love to try Cobra Connect and new F8s all summer. I have 10 year old Cobra irons and hybrids, Calloway driver and woods and a Cleveland lob wedge. I play about 100 times a year April-October and track some statistics but the apps I’ve tried so far aren’t that great. If you really have to keep your phone in your pocket for Cobra Connect, I have a small iPhone so that wouldn’t be a problem.

I have a complete set of Cobra clubs I bought 3 years ago. I play golf at least 5 times a week at the golf courses her in Sheridan Wyoming. Last year I bought a new Cobra driver, and it has helped me lower my handicap down from 18 to 14. I play at the Kendrick golf course and the Powderhorn course here. I think newer clubs will help me play better.

I’ve played 5 times this year, going tomorrow as well and plan on playing at least 2 -3 times per month.

Cobra is the best place to go for same length clubs. I am a high handicapper and firmly believe I can benefit. I believe it would sell a lot of Cobra Clubs if High Handicappers show improvement.
