When it comes to shafts, Kim Braly, the KB in KBS Shafts, is the walking definition of street cred. The man’s fingerprints are all over some of the most ground-breaking and popular shafts going, including RIFLE® and Project X® , he co-authored patents for Frequency Matching® and, along with his pioneering club designer father, started one of the first-ever Tour vans for the PGA Tour.
And since 2008, Braly’s KBS Shafts are in every OEM’s toolkit and are favorites of club fitters everywhere. This year, Braly has a new iron shaft up his sleeve, and we want you to test it for us.
TESTERS WANTED:
KBS says the new $-Taper (yeh, let’s call it the Money-Taper) has the low spin of its C-Taper, but with the mid-trajectory and bend profile of the popular KBS Tour. The company says the $-Taper provides superior feel while maintaining workability and tight dispersion – what it’s calling Money Performance.
Will the new $-Taper live up to its name and, in fact, be money? Can it fit your game? MyGolfSpy is looking for four avid golfers to test these babies out and tell the world.

I would love to test these. I’m a current insturctor, former professsional golfer and have full access to my own reshafting and regripping so could put them in my irons in a day. I’m a long time project x player, recently went to the pxi and loved the c taper s+ but needed a little higher apex. I hit roughly 2-300 balls a day at the range and play when I can and feel I’m an intelligent writer/thinker and would give an unbiased and truthful review on these shafts. My background stems from fitting/repair and I know my stuff when it comes to ballflight and installation. I could give an honest and unbiased review on these shafts and have the knowledge and know how to explain the differences in seeing in the shafts they are comparing to. Thank you for the opportunity.
