(4) Testers Wanted: Precision Pro NX7/NX7 Pro Laser Rangefinders

It used to be there was a Snake River Canyon-sized gap between the big-name laser rangefinders and the so-called budget rangefinders. Both would give you distance, but more dollars would buy you more features, sharper optics, and greater accuracy.

You can still spend an arm, a leg and most of your uvula on a big-name rangefinder, but the gap is shrinking. Cincinnati-based Precision Pro Golf has been a leader in what some have called value lasers, but even that label doesn’t fit anymore. Precision Pro thinks its newest offerings can rival the big names in all areas of performance.

Precision Pro NX7 - 5-0132

Testers Wanted:

For 2017, Precision Pro is introducing two new rangefinders, the NX7, and the NX7 Pro. Precision Pro says both models are 25% smaller and 30% faster than last year’s Nexus models, and the NX7 is the first Precision Pro rangefinder with Adaptive Slope and Pulse Vibration Technology. Both NX7’s feature a 400-yard range, 6X magnification and are accurate to =/- 1 yard.

And both feature a lifetime – yes, a lifetime – free battery replacement program.

But are they really comparable to the big-name rangefinders? We need four of you to test them and find out.

Precision Pro NX7 - 3-0099

How To Apply:

We are looking for four avid golfers to test and review (and keep) the new offerings from Precision Pro: two will review the standard NX7, and two will review the NX7 Pro with Adaptive Slope Technology.

We take our product testing very seriously here at MyGolfSpy, so please read and follow these instructions carefully:

First – if you haven’t already, please register for the MyGolfSpy Community Forum (click here to sign up). You MUST be a Forum Member to be eligible.

Second – you MUST follow the instructions and apply in the Official Precision Pro NX7 Rangefinder Application thread in the MyGolfSpy Community Forum.

It’s that simple.

Precision Pro NX7 - 4-0111

We’ll be selecting our testers next week in the MyGolfSpy Community Forum, so check there to see if you’ve been selected.

Remember, you MUST apply in the Official Precision Pro NX7 Rangefinder Application thread to be eligible.

I have a NX7 Pro on the way. So good luck to all the entrants, I’ll chime in with my thoughts in the review thread when the time comes.

Just played my first round with it yesterday. Has all the bells and whistles as the bushnell tour x or Pro x2 for half the price. I used a bushnell pro 1600 tournament edition for nearly 5 years and the NX7 pro is much smaller and lighter which I definitely like better The jolt is a little faint , would like it to vibrate stronger. Other than that I love this rangefinder

Would love to test the new rangefinders. I have a Bushnell model that would be a check against the tested model,

Would love to try the Precision Pro…
My Bushnell GPS watch is good on most courses but my current course doesn’t register accurately and it’s full of elevation changes so a rangefinder with slope would be of great value. TGW offers one at a great price but doesn’t have the vibration feature.

I have a PRECISION PRO Laser rangefinder ,bought in 2016.It’s fine ,but I never use it on the golf course .All these rangefinders are slowing down the game which is already pretty slow .When I am offered to play with a player who has a RANGEFINDER ,I simply and purely decline to play with him .It exasperates me see these players measuring the distances down to the yard when their shots are innacurate by 20 yards or more .I have a GARMIN wrist rangefinder ,it’s quite enough for me ,and most of the time I rely on my own visual appreciation of the distance and on my “feel ” .But of course i ‘m a seasoned golfer and at age over 82 ,I still play to a handicap of 7 .Golf is much simpler than most of the so called” self proclaimed ” bloated experts ” say

I have always believed that finding the distance ,wind ,up hill , down hill grass slopes etc was part of the game of golf

Steve has an index of 7.4 and is retired. His full time hobby is golf. He plays golf year round posting over 120 rounds last year and just over 40 so far this year. I use a range finder exclusively in all my rounds.

I’d love to try this range finder. I’m blind in one eye and have a hard time judging distances.
