(4) Testers Wanted: Tour Edge Exotics CBX 119 Hybrid

Pop Quiz: What’s the hottest OEM on any tour, with its premier staffer winning twice in the past three weeks, plus another half dozen Top Fives this season?

Did you guess Tour Edge? Scott McCarron – this year’s leading money winner on the PGA Tour Champions –  has had the Tour Edge CBX 119 hybrid in the bag for his two recent wins, and Tour Edge is riding the McCarron wave.

Does this wave have room for us mere golfing mortals? We’d like your help to find out.

TESTERS WANTED

The Tour Edge Exotics CBX 119 hybrid features a compact head, and a tall Beta Titanium face, which Tour Edge says makes it a versatile, powerful spin killer. Sound like a hybrid you’d like to bag?

We’re looking for FOUR avid and detail-oriented golfers to test, review and keep a Tour Edge Exotics CBC 119 hybrid, and let our readers know if performance on the Champions Tour translates to performance for the regular Joe.

As per OEM guidelines, this review opportunity is open to any right-handed golfer who calls the U.S.A. home.

HOW TO APPLY

All of MyGolfSpy’s Community Reviews require a serious commitment on the part of the reviewer. You’ll need to be motivated, detail-oriented, and savvy with online forums. Writing a thorough, detailed, and honest review is a full two-month commitment, so please make sure you read the following instructions carefully and apply in the proper place.

Please note this is not a giveaway or a contest. We’re looking for four golfers committed to making a full evaluation and writing a detailed review for our Community Forum. Testers will be selected based on how well they demonstrate that commitment in the official Forum Application Thread.

That means to be a potential reviewer, you must be a registered member of the MyGolfSpy Community Forum, where you’ll find thousands of like-minded golfers from all over the world anxious to talk about golf equipment.

To apply to test, review, and keep your CBX 119 hybrid, here’s what you have to do:

– First, if you haven’t already, please sign up for the MyGolfSpy Community Forum (click here to register).

– Second, apply ONLY in the Official Exotics CBX 119 Hybrid application thread in the Community Forum (click here to apply)

We’ll be selecting the testers sometime next week, so check back in the forum to see if you have been chosen.

Hi John – I think it is time for you guys to have a quiet talk to these OEM’s that want their stuff tested and remind them there are another 33,000,000 golfers out here who play the game and where there is a huge potential still waiting to happen and if they truly want to ‘ride the wave’ they are talking about…….. its time to include us in these tests and that definitely includes me. I am going on a recruiting drive for Clubface-Golf in South Africa (500 + courses) and getting to play in many of their events and outings and this opens up a major ‘IN’ to the SA market……… just saying!!! Thanks for all the articles from MGS really enjoy them. Cheers Graham

Living in the UK, US or CN., viewing this as a “freebie” you will never get picked.

I swear 99% of the comments here don’t read the qualifications of what’s involved to be a tester. There is nothing free about it, the Pick Me, Pick Me, pleas are unbelievable.

Do not pick me as I play avid golf every day except Sunday/ I am 71. I have a handicap of 9 on the men’s tees, not the short tees. My 7 iron in 153 years, My Driver is 245 in American Yards. I would give serious usage and review with great detail, should you want a real tester, pick me!

Golf club fitter at Golf Galaxy in Kansas who plays to a 9 handicap. I had a CB4 3 wood in my bag several years back and it was an awesome club. Moved to KS from western suburbs of Chitown five years ago and am very familiar with Tour Edge. Let/s do it!

I am very much interested in trying the Tour Edge Hybrid. I currently have an Exotic 3 wood 15degree reg shaft.. It is the best 3 wood I have had in my bag as of yet. I’m currently 13 handicap and play single digit in the summertime. The 19 degree hybrid sounds perfect for me. I start playing 3 to 4 times a week starting now. I would love to give you my feedback..

I would very much like to become a rester. I have been playing four years, age 70, 100% Military Disability, but able to play with Prescription Morphine. Beinging relatively new, I am always looking for something that will increase my play ability on the course. I am a 19 Hdc, who just shot my lowest score of 83.

If you feel this Club could help me, please, allow me to be a tester. Wish I was for when you didyourdriver. Thank you.

62 years old w/my anniversary for my open heart surgery and back surgery and rotator cuff coming next month…. trying to really bare down on my golf striking ….. at every chance I get….. could have a serious conversation regarding coming over the top … or stopping it…. it would be nice to be selected but the odds would be long.. probably b/c I really don’t play…. just working on my ball striking…
