(4) Testers Wanted: Wilson Staff D300 Irons

Well, this should finally put an end to all of those trite “Is Wilson Back?” stories: Wilson Staff is officially in for a 2017 MyGolfSpy Forum Community Review!

For a company with more Major victories than anyone else, this surely counts as another. Somewhere Sam Snead, Ty Webb and Shooter McGavin (Wilson Staffers all) are smiling.

Testers Wanted:

Wilson’s F-C-D iron fitting guide is one of the simplest in the business, basically asking what kind of player are you? F is for feel, D is for Distance and C is for Crossover. It’s a bit more descriptive than Better Player, Game Improvement, and Super Game Improvement, and Wilson offers two iron sets in each category, depending on how much help you may want or need.

Wilson’s FLX Face Technology, which allows the club face to flex at impact to provide more balls speed, debuted last year in the  C200 irons and are the driving force in 2017’s D300 irons. Wilson is convinced FLX Face is the key to delivering more distance for the players who crave it.

So if you’re a D player, we want your help in finding out if the hype is real. We need 4 of you to try out and review the D300 irons for us. Oh yeah, you get to keep them, too.

Let’s call it the 2017 Summer FLX Face-Off!

How To Apply:

As you know, MyGolfSpy takes its product testing very seriously. All of our reader reviews are published in our Community Forum (click here to check them out). We expect a lot from our reviewers – writing a thorough, detailed and honest review is a full two-month commitment, requiring extensive range and on-course work as well as participation in the Forum itself to answer questions and discuss product performance with other golfers.

That means to be a potential reviewer you must be a registered member of the MyGolfSpy Community Forum, where you’ll find thousands of like-minded golfers from all over the world anxious to talk about golf equipment.

To apply to test, review and keep the Wilson Staff C200/D300 irons, here’s what you have to do:

– First, if you haven’t already, please sign up for the MyGolfSpy Community Forum (click here to register).

– Second, apply ONLY in the Official Wilson Staff D300 Application Thread in the Community Forum (click here).

The testers will be announced next week in the MyGolfSpy Community Forum.

Would like to try these bad boys out, heard good things about these iron and want to see if they live up to the hype. Im a high handicap player and currently use Ping G5 that have been extended 1 inch. It would be great to ahoot in the mid to low 80’s and these irons might get me there.

I have been playing for 40 years plus. I grew up with Wilson Staff and played in many tournaments in the north east. I am a 8 handi cap and
      I play about 3 to 4 times a week.

I have tried to sign up before to test, and it seemed to be a struggle, maybe because i am left handed, but i would need left hand clubs and regular or senior shaft.

My last set of Wilsons were Gear Effect 1200 that was over 20 years ago. It would be interesting to see the improvement.

Got a set of these, brilliant, I have always used Wilson Clubs, these are the best, had one of the most satisfying rounds I have ever had last week, I’m 71 and play a nine hole course, sciatica restricts my walking time and I refuse to use a buggy, 18 handicap, went in the club house, 4 over net 5 under, chuffed.

Would love to compare them to my current Ping irons. The Wilsons look really good, and if they play as good as they look, wow.
