(5) Testers Wanted: Bushnell Tour V4/V4 Slope Rangefinders

“How far” isn’t a particularly profound question. But when it comes to your approach shot, it’s easy to take the technology you use to figure it out for granted.

Bushnell bills itself as the “undisputed #1 laser rangefinder in golf,” and if you judge by the number of Bushnell’s you see hanging from bags at any golf course, it’s kind of hard to dispute.

Testers Wanted!

But are they really the best? We want your help to find out if Bushnell’s new Tour V4 is a worthy soldier in the Bushnell lineup.

MyGolfSpy is looking for 5 avid and in-season golfers to test out (and keep) the new V4.   Three of you will test and review the standard Tour V4 model, and two will do the same with the Tour V4 Slope model. Put these things through your most demanding tests and let’s see if they perform.

My old bushnell range finder was taken from my cart. I had the slope feature, but focus was a problem. The feature that fixes on a flag is something I would love to try and write about.

A range finder could I believe be better for working your way around a course than the gps type measurements. You can determine with more options safe places to hit to.

Sign me up I play a couple times a week and will give the equipment a fair try.

I have not used the range finder I purchased 6 years ago as I have trouble hitting the flag from more than 150 yds due to slight tremors in my hands. Would be nice to test a range finder with pinseeker technology.

I purchased a V4 with slope and used it for 5 months. The Pros : nice size, quick reading, and nice setup in the viewfinder. Cons: too frequent (and intermittent) inaccurate readings that I could measure with no problem using my old Nikon – side by side. I had read that there were “issues” with the early devices (mine was), so I thought this might be the issue. I sent it back to Bushnell for examination and they found no problems. So much for their wonderful customer service. My luck got worse as it was stolen from my bag. Now I’m back to my old reliable Nikon (no slope :-(.

I would just love to test a new rangefinder; the last one got stolen out of my country club. It was never turned in; I would like to find a replacement.

      I already have the V4

Too small for me, I also found it inaccurate, and on one day I had trouble getting any readings, which was strange as Rangefinders are actually meant to be more accurate on overcast days

I’ve since given it to the missus and bought the X7, way better.

Would like to be a tester. Seems like the team is already picked or it’s close by the time I get the email. I play 65 – 75 rounds a year, 9.4 hcp.

Would love the opportunity to test the newest equipment from Bushnell. My current one seems to have lost a little lighting. Looking for a new one.

Would be an honor to participate in your test. Have tried several types and am very positive about the performance of the ones I have tried. I bet these models to be tested are step ups to what Zi have used in the past..

What a great opportunity to join an awesome community and give your 2 cents on a valuable piece of golf equipment! I never knew how important a yardage device was until I started using my Bushnell neo watch. Whether it’s a watch, rangefinder like the one up for review or whatever, you will feel naked without it and honestly, it will improve your scores and fun on the course. Thanks MGS & Bushnell for bringing this new product to the table for reviews!

except for the tonne of units being recalled for black spots in the lens. If you’re lucky enough to not get one of those then you have a great rangefinder
