(5) TESTERS WANTED: PuttOUT Putting Practice System

Allen Iverson may not have been too keen on practice, but if you’re a golfer and you want to improve, practice is your friend.

The problem with practice is that it’s tedious and, frankly, kind of boring. Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a product that made practice fun as well a productive? The folks at PuttOUT Golf think they have a system that puts the fun in fundamentals, but we want you to judge for yourself.

TESTERS WANTED

You’ve no doubt seen PuttOUT on social media and other spaces out there in cyberspace. It’s a simple system, but can it help you sink more putts?

We’re looking for five avid, motivated and detail-oriented golfers to test, review and keep the PuttOut Practice System, and tell the My Golf Spy community if it has made practice more fun for you and most importantly if it has improved your putting.

This review opportunity is open only to left and right handed golfers, and is limited to any golfer who calls the Planet Earth home.

HOW TO APPLY

As you know, MyGolfSpy takes its product testing very seriously. All of our reader reviews are published in our Community Forum (click here to check them out). We expect a lot from our reviewers – writing a thorough, detailed and honest review is a full two-month commitment, requiring extensive at home and practice green work, as well as participation in the Forum itself to answer questions and discuss product performance with other golfers.

Please note this is not a giveaway or a contest. We’re looking for four golfers committed to making a full evaluation and writing a detailed review for our Community Forum. Testers will be selected based on how well they demonstrate that commitment in the official Forum Application Thread.

That means to be a potential reviewer, you must be a registered member of the MyGolfSpy Community Forum, where you’ll find thousands of like-minded golfers from all over the world anxious to talk about golf equipment.

To apply to test, review, and keep the PuttOUT system, here’s what you have to do:

– First, if you haven’t already, please sign up for the MyGolfSpy Community Forum (click here to register).

– Second, apply ONLY in the official PuttOut Golf Testers Wanted Thread in the Community Forum (click here)

Good luck! We’ll be announcing our testers next week, so make sure to check back in the Community Forum to see if you’ve been selected.

Sorry guys – I do not want to spoil the party- but that tool is basically what a few ( 8 to 10 ) tees in the ground do- just looks a bit fancier. Have a look at some video platforms and you’ll find that Tiger used tees years ago to get the same result. Tees: Pros : tees weigh lesss and less clumsy to storage, cost less. Cons: maybe a bit more complicated to get a straight line. PutOut: Pros: looks cool, nice design. Cons: more clumsy , heavier , more expensive, still have to find the srtaight line for the ball to roll. But I still would test one. I am in Europe – you guys have testers here ? Let me know!

My nemesis…the put from 3-6 feet. Have used other tools, including laser pen to try to hit the ball straight on line. Maybe this will help.

I have a putter out. I noticed that after hitting a few putts the ball would wear a grove into the nap of the mat. I can routinely roll in 100s of 6 footers in a row and I’m no Snedz with the short stick. For this reason the product is floored and I would not recommend it. Buy the hole but use with a different mat. I wrote to them and told them about my findings but they just mugged me of and told me to sweep the mat to reset it, but you need to do it after every putt to be realistic which is a total pain. Do you guys follow the rules in the post above about joining the forum and becoming an active participant in the forum? If so you’re chances are very very good. If not, well probably not so much.

It’s pretty simple to become a tester follow the rules and be active.

Pretty sure you have to donate to have decent odds at being selected.

Absolutely Not! Actually often than not, more non donors are selected than donors.

I already use the putt out with an eyeline edge tool, a couple of eyeline mirrors and a 4 foot flat aluminum ruler. The answer is heck yea. It is more fun to practice using these tools and yes, it builds confidence and helps you sink more 3 to 5 foot putts. I don’t want to sign up, though.

I have an artificial putting green at home and regularly practice putting and trying different grips etc. id like to test the putout mirror and gate system to see if it improves or groves a consistent putting stroke.
id enjoy the write up process and give feedback to other golf spy forum members…

I have two Putt Outs; one for each end of the practice mat. They are fantastic and fun! Needless to say, I won’t be throwing my name in the testing hat, but YOU should!

I’ve signed up and placed my name in the hat to be a tester. As someone who is currently struggling with putting, I am looking for answers at this point. I have been struggling with putts, especially within the 3-5 foot range. My ball striking has been great, but putting has been failing me. I’d be curious to see how this system works for others. Fingers crossed!

I have the Puttout system (mat, puttout, mirror/gate) and have been using it for the past 6 months in my basement. I like being able to get a feel for what my putting stroke is doing, but found that at first the system does not seem to translate to the course all that well for me. Then i started to use it as a way to practice my stroke and impact only and when i didn’t consciously try to use the same thought processes on the course my new ‘natural’ putting stroke was very similar to what i was practicing. It is a good system and I recommend it to anyone that likes to tinker with their game.
