(6) TESTERS WANTED: Precision Pro NX7 PRO Laser Rangefinder

So how much do you have to spend to get a top performing laser rangefinder?

Well, you can spend an arm, a leg and most of your uvula for one of the big names, and it’ll work great. But what would you get with, for lack of a better word, a value-priced unit?

According to this year’s MyGolfSpy Best Rangefinder ranking, quite a bit. While the usual big-ticket suspects copped the top honors, the Cincinnati-based Precision Pro was named Best Value, with high-level performance and a $199.00 price tag and a lifetime free battery replacement program.

No matter how you slice it, that ain’t bad.

TESTERS WANTED:

Precision Pro’s NX7 PRO model has all the stuff you’d want in a rangefinder, regardless of price: adaptive slope mode, pulse vibration and a 400-yard max range. Features are one thing, but performance is quite another – and that’s where you come in. We’re looking for six avid and honest golfers to test, review and keep the NX7 Pro, and to let the golfing world know how it stacks up against the big boys!

This review opportunity is open to any golfer roaming the Planet Earth.

Would love to test as I play both public and private courses that either have, or don’t have, prisms to reflect back the laser. This would provide feedback on both types of scenarios, and in varying weather conditions of New England.

Hi, between the time I am on the range with my son and on my own I spend almost everyday on the course. I enjoy testing products and giving thorough feedback. Not only would this be a treat for myself but it would be a treat for my son.

I currently use a Garmin GPS . I have been told that the laser rangefinders are more accurate than the GPS type. I am a senior golfer and it would be great to be chosen as one of the testers for the NX7Pro. Thanks for the opportunity.

I have owned one for more than a year. I transitioned from a Garmin GPS watch. The Pro model is outstanding. It is extremely accurate with both distances and slope adjusted distances. The Tech support is also outstanding. They answer your questions with dispatch and are very interested in your experience. If I lost my unit, I would replace it with the same one.
The only minor glitch I have experienced is with heavy fog. I do not know of any unit that does well in heavy fog.
The price of this unit makes it a no-brainer purchase.

I’m disappointed this is only open to US and Canada residents…MyGolfSpy is a worldwide forum, and don’t understand why avid golfers in other parts of the world, e.g. Australia, get excluded from these opportunities

      Hi Chris & John,

If it’s okay for us to weigh in, we just wanted to let you know that we’re absolutely happy to ship anywhere in the world. So, if it’s okay with everyone at MyGolfSpy.com, we’re fine letting Chris, his Aussie friends or anyone from anywhere sign up to test out the NX7 Pro. The only exception is people from New Zealand.

      #NoKiwis.

(JUST KIDDING, New Zealand! We love you, too!)

Would be very delighted to take part of this test. I am playing in UK (yards) and played all my life with meters and to have rangefinder would be really handy not to convert always yards to meters and then either hit too long or too short. with range finder you always know what you need to hit.. I play 2-3 times a week , single handicap.

      Waiting for your lovely surprise..

I have been considering purchasing a rangefinder but am undecided. I play golf 4- 5 times a week and have a 15 handicap. I would like to have the opportunity to test this device. I can give detailed reports and an unbiased testing.
      Thanks for the opportunity!

My name is Barry Fuson I live in Phoenix AZ and play golf weekly at various courses. I have a Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 Rangefinder that works sometimes and the images are faded. Bushnell will not repair the model want to sell me a new one for $500!
I would be a great candidate to test the Precision Pro Rangefinder.

I would love to be a tester for this range finder. I’ve heard good things about NX7 and have been anxious to see some solid reviews. I play several times per week including competition rounds. I have used hand held GPS units and range finders for several years and could give a thorough and honest feedback on performance. I frequently used my range finder during rounds and to build my own course maps and yardage books to use during competition. So there would be no shortage of high quality use to measure a wide array of objects.

My previous range finder was a Golf Buddy and I used it until this past weekend when it was stolen during a church golf outing. So here’s to hoping in a little Karma headed my way…..

      Cheers!

Perfect timing! I’ve been shopping for my FIRST rangefinder for the past three weeks. Reading reviews, testing various devices by stepping outside the golf store, etc. I would love to put Precision Pro to the test. Accurate, easy to use? These questions and more would be asked by this first-time user.

I recently picked one of these up and was pretty disappointed. Compared to my three year old Bushnell (which I dumbly left on a golf course) it didn’t even compare. Was very bummed.

The testers should be happy. I bought this exact unit last year when my Garmin died. I’ve been very happy. I think there are a few that have longer range but this one can scope it way further than I can hit it. Optics seem pretty clear and it is always within a yard of my playing partners’ units so I am very confident in the distances. My area is fairly flat so the slope option is not a big deal. I will be interested in some of the feedback from players with more robust topography.

I play 10 to 15 rounds every months, and I like to be as precise as possible. I currently use a Bushnell rangefinder, and this would make me a perfect tester for the product because I would be able to compare their performance in the course.
