First Look – Callaway Golf Rogue SUB ZERO-V Driver

Yesterday yet another Callaway Golf driver popped up on the USGA’s Conforming Clubs List this week, and no, it isn’t the rumored next XR driver.

Sources inside Callaway described the new model as a “prototype experiment.” When asked if more details could be provided, the same source replied, “not quite yet.”

Inherent vagaries notwithstanding, there’s at least the suggestion that more information will be shared in the not too distant future, and that could suggest that the purpose for the Sub Zero V will extend beyond tour use only.

What do you think is the story behind the Rogue Sub Zero-V?

As always, stay tuned. We’ll have more information as soon as it becomes available.

As you may or may not know, they have thus and will continue reinvesting there prophets back into the product. The patend along with thr R & D are superior expenses in coparison to the other Co. The larger brand who seems to get by on there name alone. Have released inferior products that continue to fail in comparison and crack at will. I have always been a Titleist guy. But Callaway has won my loyalty five years back. Don’t be a hater on the amount of releases, be proud of there technology patends! Who else would figure out how take tungstun and make into a prouder form and remold it into there shapes. Expensive and cutting edge, Bowing can’t help but be at the top with them. Come on down to PoundTown , you surely will someday. For hit your little copies of last year with different paint and plastic feeling shafts. The fit get fitter, and that’s why I fit. PoundTown lives.

Too bad they don’t want to sell to weekend golfers like me that are not going to spend $500.

Phew!!! I was wondering when we’d be getting a new Callaway driver! It’d been about a month or two so I was getting worried.

I have heard it’s a smaller head, with CG towards the toe to give it more of a fade bias.

Man these golf bag stands are extremely expensive. This is a pay for the brand and not experience purchase.

…to me, it seems like there is a 10 written – on the back weight screw…
      …no number 12, and no number 14…
…maybe they made the Jail-break rods a tad thicker again (to avoid the breaking)?

It spends so slow, it can take place of your putter. So you can carry a extra club.
      Great idea

Wish they’d make non- adjustable ones of what they have now. Then move that extra weight from the sleeve to the back of the driver. I never adjust the loft or lie.

I’ve been using a lower loft on G400 9* on windy days, lofting up on days I’m feeling stiff and/or fairways are wider. Also, adjust it if I’m opening/shutting the face on the range during warm-up. You’re never the same player day to day, so it helps to have a bit of flexibility in your equipment

      – I would say a future of inventory issues, if I had to guess.
