New Pics of the 2009 Cleveland Launcher Driver

Best Launcher Ever?

A couple of weeks ago we shared pictures and information on the new 2009 Cleveland Launcher but in the last 24 hours we have received some new photos and info on the new stick so we thought we would share them with you guys.

Compared to the other drivers coming out this year the Cleveland would be considered a little more traditional. But according to the Cleveland guys this new weapon is the longest Launcher ever! And compared to the older versions the new 2009 Cleveland Launcher will have the following.

  1. Face – A face that is 21% wider.
  2. MOI – Increased MOI by adding a 17 gram horseshoe to rear of club.
  3. Crown – the crown is 23% thinner only .5 mm thick.
  4. Shaft – Sightly longer at 45.5″ w/Fujikura Fit-On Flightspeed.
  5. Lofts – 9°, 10.5° and 12°

My name is Adam Beach. This place, this site, it’s more than just a business to me, it truly is an expression of who I am and what I believe in, down to my core. I feel the work I do is a reflection of who I am and the idea behind the work I do is more important than the work itself. You see, I don’t actually see myself in the golf business at all, I am in the business of caring. I am a guy who wakes up with one goal: do the right thing.

I’m 60 going on 61 and I can hit just about anything where I want it to go but I lost distance. Way too much distance. What driver is going to give me the most distance possible. I have a TourEdge now but I need more distance and I’m thinking a change of shafts or another dirver may be the answer? Help!!!

Good point on the length CRay…don’t know if they are doing this for increased distance or for swingweight issues because of the head. But I am not a fan for going over the true standard length of a driver. Going this long severely effects swing plane angles which directly effects accuracy.

.. Okay .. first we had the Hibore, then the Hibore XL, then we were sold the the Hibore XLS .. and now we got the super duper faster than a speeding bullet Cleveland Launcher which is 45.5 long, which means most players need to cut it back to 44.5 for bettter accuracy and distance…

The question is, do we get a credit from Cleveland for that .5 extra if we mail it back..?

      ;^)
