(8) Testers Wanted: PING i210/i500 irons

Let’s call this one MyGolfSpy’s late-August PING FLING!

Yep, we’re looking for EIGHT avid golfers to test, review and keep a set of PING’s new player’s irons – four to review the feel-and-accuracy focused i210’s, and 4 more to test the player’s distance i500’s.

PING-apalooza!

PING’s new i-series features two sets of irons that PING says give better players what they crave – either control and feel, or maximum distance in an appealing package. The i210 promises the former, while the i500 promises the latter.

We need eight of you — yes, EIGHT(!) – to test and review your choice, and let your fellow golfers on the MyGolfSpy Community Forum know if the new PINGs deliver on those promises.

This review opportunity is open to any golfer who calls Earth his home planet.

How To Apply:

All of MyGolfSpy’s Community reviews require a serious commitment on the part of the reviewer. You will need to be motivated, detail oriented and savvy with online forums, so please make sure you read the following instructions carefully and apply in the proper place.

Our member reviews are published in our Community Forum (click here to check them out). Writing a thorough, detailed and honest review is a lot of work – you’ll be writing detailed reviews of your month-plus journey, as well as participating in the MyGolfSpy Community Forum itself to answer questions and discuss product performance with other golfers.

That means to be a potential reviewer you must be a registered member of the MyGolfSpy Community Forum, where you’ll find tens of thousands of like-minded golfers from all over the world anxious to talk about golf equipment.

To apply to test, review and keep a set of PING i210 or PING i500 irons, here’s what you have to do:

– First, please sign up for the MyGolfSpy Community Forum (click here to register).

– Second, apply ONLY in the Official PING i210/i500 Review Application thread in the MyGolfSpy Forum (click here).

We’ll be selecting our testers next week, so make sure to check the MyGolfSpy Community Forum to see if you’ve been selected.

I would definitely like to try the 500’s. I have improved with my Callaway Big Bertha, but ready for the next level, hoping these clubs could take me there.

Would love to compare the i500s to my TM
P-790s! I’m about 1.5 clubs longer with the P-790s. I would have tested the i500s vs the P-790s, if they were out while I was shopping. I did try the G400 irons and G400Max driver and did change to the Ping driver from my Callaway Epic.

      I am in.
      Very interested by this opportunity.
I don’t know if they are the best choice for my abilities but I chose the i500 set.
It could cost you a little bit more than your usual shipment to deliver them in france.

I’d love to be involved but live in the UK, however the i500’s have been in the bag for 2 weeks and they are a revelation.
Happy testing all those lucky to be selected.

I am extremely interested in the Ping i210s. Tried one briefly yesterday and was blown away. Seems the obvious upgrade from my CF16s – have not considered Pings before.

I’ve had nearly every version of Ping iron at one point or another, used the Zing metal driver for years, and still use a BeCu B61 putter! The i500 could be the perfect iron for me (2 up, 1/2″ long, with a gap wedge). Pick me!

Hit these on demo days, nice looking but have a hollow sound when hit. There is no feel at all on these irons just not what I expected from a club maker like ping. Stop trying to copy other two sets of clubs a year company’s and do what you do best make a top quality iron for hard core ping players.

I would love to take the opportunity of testing and review these irons. Truly, I would love to give back to are fellow golfing community and share what Ping has brought to the table for this up and coming season. I am currently a 3 handicap and I do have access to the ranges and country clubs in my area. So that, I can really put these clubs to the test.

I’d love to test these as I currently have two sets of irons I move back and forth between. A set of Ping S 56’s and Mizuno MP 37’s. As a 52 year old and former college golfer, I love the forged look and feel, but need the forgiveness since I don’t stand on the range beating balls weekly anymore.

I just got my i500s a couple weeks ago..played 4 times and lots of range time..they are long..I’m wondering if I will be able to get some consistantly ranges with them..I say this because I am just slightly worried about this..the long irons are great…so much easier than I’m used to….and if you stay behind these things when you hit them they really go high..but my experience is I can’t stop them with a lot of backspin..they don’t spin much..
