11 months agoThank you for doing the work to determine the best 2021 products. As an older single digit player, one troubling find was that the new Ping G425 irons were 14th in forgiveness. Surprising since Ping G series irons are generally very forgiving.

1 year agoI only play TaylorMade woods. SIM2 driver, 3 wood, and 5 fairway. Better than anything on the planet. No other set comes close.. Doesn’t matter what you have sell your stuff and buy this TM set.
Brian
1 year agoI’m gaming the Titliest TSi3 and love it. I am 54 and swing between 98-102. It may be the best driver I have ever used that has improved dispersion. I have mine set to C1 and it provides a straight to slight fade which has been very reliable. The swing weight and feel are ideal for me. I’ve always felt Titliest drivers have had the most distinct changes to, ball flight, feel and face strike with their adjustable hosel. So far so good for me with the TSi3 driver. We’ll see what happens when the honeymoon period is over.

1 year agoSame here – similar swing speeds in the 100+/- area and I started using the TSi3 this year – Cant say enough about how great its been for me.

1 year agoGreat reviews as always. One other category is push carts for walking, which has a tonne of benefits. They are getting expensive , but come well equipped with multiple storage places, quick and easy folding, and then there is the electric follow me units, that run over 2k each.. I bought a cart from Costco recently and love it , great price, multiple features, like the phone storage slot which allows golf shots to be tracked during the round. Time for a refresher MGS?
Steve
1 year agoWill ask again! Why do you say the Epic speed driver is the best for slow swing speeds, when one of the top fitters in the country says it isn’t. It would be the Max in their words, not mine. Care to comment ?
Matty
1 year agoSteve,
They have pretty good data that you can pull apart for yourself. MGS isn’t really saying that the Epic Speed Driver is the best driver for slow swing speed, their evidence is.
Can you steer us to the fitter’s data?
Brad
1 year agoThe data presented in the MGS comparison said the Speed was 1st in Strokes Gained, 1st in Distance and 6th in Forgiveness. However, to add perspective, the difference between the Speed and Max comes down to 0.15 yds of carry distance and 2 yds total distance because the Speed has 139 rpm lower spin. I really don’t think you can go wrong with either one so it would come down to personal preference. Try them both and see which one performs best for you. The Club Champion fitter that you visited is entitled to have their opinion, but the difference here is just that, opinion vs. data.
Abraham
1 year ago“Opinion vs. data” . . . I disagree. Publishing a lot of numbers behind the conclusion does not mean that it is valid. I love these articles and applaud the effort of the writers/testers. However, they need to be taken with a large grain of salt.
These studies are simply not exhaustive enough to justify coming to a broad conclusion. It likely would not be cost effective to do such a study so I don’t blame them. In science, there is something called the null hypothesis that needs to be disproven with a certain degree of reliability (a p value). These studies are not proven reproducible and do not contain enough controls IMO to account for the huge amount of variability/bias in testers/shafts/golf swing/etc.
Again, I’m not criticizing the attempt as I love reading the articles, but the conclusions should NOT be taken for science/fact. For that, we would need to know it was properly controlled, has enough power to test the subject and that it was reliable . . . until then, it should be considered opinion.

1 year agohola, hay muchas diferencias entre los hierros ping i200 i vs mizuno mp-20 ?

1 year agoWhat about push cart bags? I think this is now a category unto itself.
Vic
1 year agoNo fairway woods?
Josef
1 year agoNow wait a minute. Surely this can’t be ALL the winners. Where are the iron covers?!?
All in all, I like having all the winners laid out like this.
Mike
1 year agoHey, you mean I just spent $230 (price + tax) PER IRON for the new TaylorMade 790s & I shouldn’t put a cover on each one? LOL
Daniel
1 year agoAre you guys going to be doing hybrids?
Bill
1 year agoWith the expense that can go into shaft and the number available, I would love to see testing on that similar to the driver testing.
