I’m not sure how many golfers suffer from “tennis elbow.” It’s a lot.
But what I do know is, that for those folks, the pain goes from frustrating to downright debilitating.
Our very own Tony Covey has shared his battles which included some marital conflict over lawn-mowing duties.
Fiix Elbow
Described as a tendinitis and tennis elbow recovery device, the Fiix Elbow by Stā Active replicates IASTM (instrument-assisted soft-tissue massage) treatments, but at home.
Your “elevator pitch”: IASTM is a well-established proven treatment that works by disrupting adhesions and scar tissue and increasing blood flow which promotes healthy tissue growth.
Could This Help You?
We want five to seven MyGolfSpy readers to test, review and then keep a Fiix Elbow device.
This opportunity is open only to golfers who live in the USA.
To apply, please fill out the screening survey. The information gathered will be used strictly for the purpose of selecting participants.
Selected participants will be notified in a couple of weeks.

1 week agoI have struggled with golfers elbow for the past couple of years. At one point it only bothered me during the golf season but now it’ bothers me year round. I would love to try this product.

1 month agoI am currently treated by a physiotherapist for a bilateral tennis elbow since three month: massages, weights, and now by shock waves…. Pain is persisting and moving down the forearm muscle up to the tendon, and even in my shoulder. Willing to test anything to get rid of the discomfort…
I miss, I miss, I make
1 month agoI have seen all kinds of devices to treat elbow strain. Strain on the outside of the elbow is “tennis elbow” and the inside is “golfer’s elbow”. The treatment is the same.. Ice, anti-inflamitories, stretching and strengthen the forearm. Forward and reverse wrist curls work fine. Use enough weight for maximum effort through 3 sets of 10-15 reps. Of course you can sit on the couch and eat potato chips and the pain will go away but until you strengthen the affected area you can expect a return of the symptoms.
Michael Irwin
1 month agoWould like to try. But live in Canada and it is not an option on the screening survey.

1 month agoI have been playing golf for 13 years of my life. I have a combination of tennis elbow/golfers elbow/tendonitis. I have been doing everything I can to get rid of it (ice, heat, physical therapy). If I don’t get this fixed within the next few months before I go off to college (because I am commutes to play in college!!), then I may need to get surgery which would put me out for a while. I filled out the survey, and I would love to try this new product!

1 month agoI would love to try this product. I am a 68 years old golfer, who carries a 3 handicap and suffers from tennis elbow, shoulder problems, and also have knee problems (ACL replacement with 3 knee surgeries). I work as a starter for the golf course and play 4 times a week and have played golf for 43 years. Love the game.

1 month agoI have played golf for over 60 years and have left elbow issues. My grandson has little league elow. I would like to try this machine on his elbow.
Thanks

1 month agoHad to give up golf for 3 months due to tendinitis in left arm as diagnosed by my GP. Now back (2/21) to playing but arm hurts when round is complete. Two months of PT, ouch. Even tried CBD but no real improvement. Hope this would help.
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoFred – give the Fiix Elbow a try. You can keep playing golf during the therapy and it will reduce your pain – or your $$ back.
Risky Plan
1 month agoI got tennis and golfers elbow in my left arm from golfing in 2005 and it took many, many months to go away and was extremely painful..
In February 2020, I developed tennis elbow in my right arm from working out. I began wearing compression straps and the pain didn’t diminish until November.
It’s still painful and when I put pressure on the tendons with my fingers, it’s very painful, but the physical therapy for the injury is to keep breaking up the tissue so that it heals back strong.
I saw this device reviewed somewhere when it wasn’t yet available as I was looking for something to help resolve my injury and it sure looks like it would break up the weak scar tissue.
W.B. Neal
1 month agoDo they make one for knees also?
Jon
1 month agoI’d buy one for knees
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoW.B. Neal – sorry but at this time just elbows!
tscdave
1 month agoI had it on my left arm, then my right. Right now its numbness while sleeping and I have to massage it with pretty high pain. Mostly golf, but it started with pitching mulch!
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoTSCDAVE – we see a lot of people that get tennis elbow in both arms. The good thing is the Fiix Elbow doesn’t care which on your strap it on and it will do the massaging for you. Good luck!
George
1 month agoHell yes it works!! I bought one of these early on with no regrets. Follow the guidance and in no time (8 weeks) you’ll be back better than new. It is a bit pricey but it is definitely worth every penny to be rid of the pain.
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoThanks for the report George!
Bob
1 month agoHad tennis elbow years ago and it was so bad that golf ended early that year. After lots of treatments it finally helped along with a band to wear if it starts up. I would love to test this new device.
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoBob – if you still have tennis elbow – put your name in the hat! The feel is good pain and it is even better when you can get back on the course – or never have to leave it!
Larry Groah
1 month agoI’ve battled tendonitis for years in my left elbow and have been treated with cortisone injections but it does reappear way too often. Maybe this device would be a better cure than those injections. Thanks for concerning me for the testing.
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoLarry – you are right, most people find cortisone shots only temporarily relieve their pain. The Fiix Elbow is the only device that solves the problem by breaking up the painful scar tissue.
Joe Domill
1 month agosounds like this would help me. thanks for the chance to try this.
Greg jones
1 month agoHad my tendon pop on left arm and had to get a screw put in it. Now i have tendonitis in right arm
Gary Falconer
1 month agoI have tendinitis in my right elbow
Dan Koich
1 month agoI wear 2 neoprene compression bands when I play golf to hopefully prevent reoccurrences. I need therapy at the hospital 2 years ago for it and used a machine that appears to be similar. It helped me. Now I have it again in my right elbow. Sign me up. I’ll test this.
Zack Pang
1 month agoThis would be awesome! I was looking at this device at helping me with my tennis elbow in both elbows. I would love to be able to test it out!
GEORGE SKINNER
1 month agoI WEAR A BAND WHEN I PLAY GOLF TO PREVENT THE TENDON SNAPPING OVER WHEN I ROTATE IN PRONATION.
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoGeorge – the arm bands are good at reducing some pain during activity but don’t address the core issue – micro tears in the tendon. If the pain persists you might need some therapy – which the Fiix Elbow can do. Best of luck.
Larry Porter
1 month agoNeed it
David shupp
1 month agoHad surgery on right elbow and tendinitis in right elbow
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoDavid – give this a try before your next surgery!
John Sahhar
1 month agoThank you for the offer. I would not be good tester as I do not have tennis elbow. Best to you all.
Al
1 month agoWell, I just completed the survey. I can barely touch that protruding bone on the inner right elbow. I’m guessing that’s what they mean by golfer’s elbow…..

1 month agoIt is ironic, or serendipitous, that this popped up in my email this morning. I had had a bout of ‘golfer’s elbow’ once a few years ago and dealt with it with rest, ice and anti-inflammatories. All of the sudden, about two weeks back it popped back up and I have been a little frustrated that as our weather improves I have to deal with it again. Perfect timing!
Scott Newell
1 month agoThanks for offering these! My left elbow has been horrible.

1 month agoFWIW – So when MGS (Tony C) published a story about this piece of equipment last year, because I was having fairly significant tennis elbow pain, I signed up and received a device in early Dec. it was not inexpensive – about the cost of a fairway wood or hybrid. I had pain in both arms. Did the treatment regime AND the exercises -you gotta do both. Takes at most 30 minutes out of the day 3 days a week. If it’s 1 arm it’s only about 15 minutes At the end, my tennis elbow was much better – but not completely gone away. I would say it’s 90-95% better. I can grip and swing a club without pain just in time for spring. So for this hacker, it has been worth it.
Mike
1 month agoJust get a cortisone shot. Save time.
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoMike – unfortunately a cortisone shot doesn’t heal the scar tissue in the tendon – it just numbs the pain, for a few weeks.
Bruce Moessen
1 month agoI’ve had tennis elbow In both knees for years. Is this device big enough to go on a leg over the knee?
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoBruce – We haven’t tried that one yet and I don’t think it would fit. Sorry about that and good luck!
Bruce Mahon
1 month agoSuffering from Tennis Elbow since end of season in the Fall. here at the start of Spring I still have the problem. Both of my elbows are a problem and I would love to find a solution.
Jeffrey Ruscoe
1 month agoI’m in if it’s still open.
Nick Palazzetti
1 month agoI have suffered with tennis elbow which, at times, has affected my ability to play golf. This device may be an answer.
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoNick – Give the Fiix Elbow a try so you can golf the whole season – you can golf during the 8 week therapy. No risk, if it doesn’t work after 90 days send it back.
Jerry Neff
1 month agoYou’d think at the age of 70 I might have elbow issues, but, I don’t. Thus, I would not be a candidate for your tester position. Best wishes to you as I know many people do suffer from elbow problems.
Elson Correa
1 month agoAwesome.
Trent Kaup
1 month agoI have tennis and golfers elbow in my right arm. I have had it for about 1 1/2 years . I would love to try this to get rid of it
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoTrent – Give the Fiix Elbow a try for your tennis elbow (it isn’t approved for golfers elbow yet – we are still testing it). No risk, if it doesn’t work after 90 days send it back.
Marcus Iezzi
1 month agoTim, would love to test! I signed up the day this was posted. I’ve been suffering for almost a year now. My right elbow started last April and left began in December. Please help. Surgery is the next step.
Ronan
1 month agoI’m a long tennis time elbow pain sufferer who has gone through all the avenues of trying to get better.
Surgery is my next option per my surgeon. I don’t want that.
I’m hoping I’m qualified enough to be selected to try this product.
The only reason I haven’t used it is the pandemic but a damper on my income in regards to purchasing it.
The survey has been completed.
Thank you for the possible opportunity..
Chris Whipple
1 month agoJust finished survey! Hope I get selected as my golfers elbow is such a pain to deal with.
Tim from Fiix Elbow / Stā Active
1 month agoChris – this device is not approved for golfers elbow. Is your injury on the inside or outside of your elbow? Outside is tennis elbow. Inside is golfer’s elbow.
Tim Frigon
1 month agoJust filled out the survey. As a “two for one”, both my wife and I currently have some tendonitis (she’s worse off than I am). We’d both give it a try and let you know how it works for both of us.
