2022 Soft Goods Survey

With the end of the golfing season fast approaching, we wanted to get a grasp on how and what consumers are looking to buy, and have reviewed for next season. While we know everyone wears golf shoes and owns a golf bag, some golfers might not own a rangefinder or GPS. Our goal is to take a deeper dive into why and what consumers buy to help us adjust protocols and learn about industry trends.

Plus, the whole reason why MyGolfSpy exists is to help you, the consumer.

Take the Survey

The survey should take less than 10 minutes. Because of the level of detail, you may be asked about a product you don’t own. If that happens, simply select the NONE option and move on to the next question.

For golf GPS there was no $100-$150 price point option. Also Garmin was left off of shot analytics.

This is titled soft goods survey. Isn’t that clothing etc? Range finders, carts , clubs etc are Hard goods.

Why the comments about 4 and 7 wood? Did I miss something?

The prices are in an odd, mixed up order (not ascending nor descending) in the question about value launch monitors. You may get some bad data on that question.

There seems to be no $100-$150 price point option for the “budget price” questions. Is that deliberate?

The pros seem to be moving to 4 woods and 7 woods; Testing of these 200-220 yard clubs would be interesting

Don’t understand the 7W trend for amateurs (esp higher-handicappers). Why would I want to hit a longer length club?

I switch to 4wood 16.5*, 7wood 21* this year. In the past I hit a strong 3wood and 3rescue. 3wood was more off the tee and I never really liked rescues. Many more options with this set up should of switched years ago

Can you test Wooden Tees v Plastic Tees , The Tour players in Europe always use wooden , I am not sure what tees in USA is the popular one..
It may not be very Eliciting but for me it would be an interesting exercise..
      Keep it the excellent reviews.

They tested tees in the past and even the wildly different designs yielded basically no real differences.
