(4) TESTERS WANTED: PING G710 Irons

You could put PING’s G710 irons into any one of several categories: Super Game Improvement, Player’s Distance, and Big Gnarly Potato Masher all fit. The bottom line is they’re designed to go far, go high, and go straight.

None of which are bad things.

If the 710’s predecessors – the PING G700 – has issues, they were with sound, feel, and finish. PING says it has fixed all three with the 710, but as always, we’re more concerned with what YOU think.

TESTERS WANTED

It’s a new season for product testing, so to kick off 2020 – coronavirus be damned – we’re looking for four of you to test, review, and keep a set of PING G710 irons. All you’ll need to do is share your results with MyGolfSpy’s community forum.

The testing is open to any left- or right-handed golfer who plays his or her golf on the Planet Earth.

All of MyGolfSpy’s Community Reviews require a serious commitment on the part of the reviewer. You’ll need to be motivated, detail-oriented, and savvy with online forums. Writing a thorough, detailed, and honest review is a full two-month commitment, so please make sure you read the following instructions carefully and apply in the proper place.

Please note this is not a giveaway or a contest. We’re looking for four golfers committed to making a full evaluation and writing a detailed review for our Community Forum. Testers will be selected based on how well they demonstrate that commitment in the official Forum Application Thread.

That means to be a potential reviewer, you must be a registered member of the MyGolfSpy Community Forum, where you’ll find thousands of like-minded golfers from all over the world anxious to talk about golf equipment.

How To Apply

This is important, so please read this next session carefully and follow the instructions fully (that means any applications made in the comments section below do not count!).

To apply to test, review, and keep a set of PING G710 Irons, here’s what you have to do:

– First, if you haven’t already, please sign up for the MyGolfSpy Community Forum (click here to register).
– Second, apply ONLY in the Official PING G710 Testers Wanted thread in the Community Forum (click here to apply)

We’ll be selecting the testers in the next week or so, check back in the forum to see if you have been chosen.

They only way to conduct a proper review would be to ensure that these irons are properly fitted. Not everyone is going to be aware of their Ping color code. Is this going to happen, or are these just going to be the standard black dots?

selectees usually get a fitting at their local supplier. Subject to MGS and the suppliers, of course. Things can change and do.

I’ve been playing The same set of Wilson blades for 39 years.. I’m looking for technology with forgiveness. Tossing around Ping 710s or Ping Blueprints. In my 50’s now I think forgiveness is utmost. Would love to try the 710s.

Amazing how many people either don’t read the entire article or even worst have very little comprehension skills.

Ive never looked back after purchasing my i210 set of irons. My handy cap dropped by 6. The feel of the ping irons are unmatched in my eyes. Would be incredible to see what the difference is in these new G710 clubs.

I’m a 7 handicapper who’s played ping eye2 irons in the past and loved them. After trying taylormades and titleist ap2’s, i’ve gravitated back to ping i200’s. I tried the G700 irons and while the distance gains were exceptional, the sound and feel weren’t as satisfying as the i200. I would be interested in testing an improved version though, as extra distance is always welcome from what is an aesthetically pleasing club.

I never liked Ping irons. They looked so ugly and for me never performed well. Yes I used to own a set of Ping iron(black dot ones) and then purchased a few more other golf brands. In the 25 years of playing golf I have tried to appreciate Ping iron but they never impressed me. I don’t know if these new ones Ping iron will work well.
I am impressed with the latest design though.
