GOLF WEBSITES – Internet’s Diamonds In The Rough

MyGolfSpy – Finding The Diamonds In The Rough

Hey…we know MyGolfSpy is all about bringing you the most top-secret and exclusive never before seen photos of golf equipment before it hits the market…but…we are also about uncovering the diamonds in the rough…golf sites and products out there that slip through the cracks for one reason or another.

Diamond In The Rough #1 – The Golf Ball Museum – Amazing!

It amazes me year in and year out of how many people either invent or build an amazing golf website or a magnificent golf product that just never gets seen by enough golfers to keep the lights on. When I was building my first golf business almost 10 years ago I was lucky enough to befriend one of the guys who helped get Yahoo! started, he told me something that has always stuck with me about the internet. What he said was simple, “You can have the best website in the world, and be selling the best golf product in the country but if you don’t know how to bring people to it…then no one will ever see it, and if no one sees it, then no one will ever care about it”. And he was absolutely right…and this statement almost a decade later still rings true on the web.

Diamond In The Rough #2 – HotBiscuits.com – Hot Balls Do Go Farther…No Really They Do.

For every 1 golf product that makes it…there are literally 100 that don’t. And believe it or not the reason they fail almost never has to do with the value of that product to its particular market. Nope…the actual reason most fail is simply because of a lack of time & money. It is hard to devote your life to an industry that you know little about the inner workings of. So…you say you just drew up the most advanced driver invention ever and now you want to take the golf world by storm huh? Ok…but what do you do now that you have drawn it up?  Do you know how to get a patent…do you know how to do the much needed market research…did you think about packaging…what do you charge companies for licensing your invention…and what about an experienced attorney…do you have one? These are only a few of the hurdles you will have to cross when trying to come up with the next biggest hit in golf. There are so many dynamics that go into launching a successful new golf product in to the marketplace. And unfortunately for most of the golf inventors out there they just don’t have the time or money that is needed to research all of this…so in the end most of them fail.

Diamond In The Rough #3 – SelectGolf – How Cool Would One Of These Be?

It is unfortunate but what can you do…well we have decided to do our part and that is to shine at least a little light on these diamonds in the rough. They might only get 15 minutes of fame with our 50,000 monthly readers but hey they deserve it. Many of these guys have spent their life’s savings and then some on trying to make it…so the least we can do is let golfers see what they most likely will not be seeing again.

We have (3) “Diamonds In The Rough” for you to check out…I think you’re gonna get a kick out of a couple of them.

P.S.

After you get a chance to review them for yourself…come on back and tell us what you thought. You would be surprised who is listening. Not only do the inventors of these products hear about these articles really fast, but so do the “Big Wigs” at all the major golf companies. Yes, we know your reading this right now Mr. ______ from TaylorMade and you too Mr. _____ from Callaway. Hi fellas! Hope you enjoyed today’s story. Come on back tomorrow.

My name is Adam Beach. This place, this site, it’s more than just a business to me, it truly is an expression of who I am and what I believe in, down to my core. I feel the work I do is a reflection of who I am and the idea behind the work I do is more important than the work itself. You see, I don’t actually see myself in the golf business at all, I am in the business of caring. I am a guy who wakes up with one goal: do the right thing.
