I’ve used the Arcoss for about 20 rounds. It’s okay and having the phone in your right front pocket is not the worst thing.. But the results are not very consistent. I’ve had plenty of rounds where it says the Driver went 190 yards and on another hole (same round) the driver was 280 yards. I’m definitely not 280 long (excluding a strong wind and a HUGE cart path bounce) but neither am I 190 yards either. And this has happened more than just a few times and with other clubs.. It’s more suited to players that are really consistent with their shots (i.e., good players). I have not used it the past few rounds so you can say I’ve fallen out of like/love with the system. I definitely won’t renew next Spring.

I have tested both the Garmin CT10 system and the Arccos system. Got rid of both of them. The idea is great, the execution is not. Neither system reliably records every shot or even which hole you are on. As a result, they are hugely distracting while on the course as you try to ensure that the data being recorded is accurate. I finally switched to the Skygolf SX400 and prefer the information it provides on the course without having to constantly baby sit the Garmin and Arccos system.

I’ve had Arccos sensors on my Cobra Speedzone 5-GW for almost a year. I wish I could use them with the Caddy app but am hesitant to give out my credit card info online.. Hopefully with this test I can take advantage of the use of these Arccos sensors and maximize my abilities as I work towards mid-handicap or better.

I’ve already been testing the Arccos for he last month through their free trial program with Taylormade. I already have a Garmin G80 that I use for distances and shot tracking data. While I probably won’t continue the Arccos subscription once the free period ends, I do really like the system. I think the main features of interest for me is that I don’t have to remember to start or stop tracking a shot., like I do on the G80. The least desirable feature is that is does phone drain the battery pretty quickly, which I know can be fixed by purchasing the extra device. I think I would definitely be willing to pay for a month each year if I could to get baseline distances to use each golf season, but once I have that, I really don’t need the rest of the year.
