The Best Callaway Pre-Owned Drivers You Can Buy Right Now

It’s not always easy to find a driver that suits your game and fits your budget. If you’re open to a driver that isn’t the newest on the market, or it’s been in another golfer’s bag for a bit, you can often find something at a fraction of the price. We combed through the Callaway Pre‑Owned site and cross-referenced with driver testing results over the last few years to find the best pre‑owned Callaway drivers you can buy right now.

Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max D Driver

  • Best for distance and draw bias in 2024 – from $253–$317+

The Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max D was ranked first overall for distance in the 2024 Best Driver testing. The interesting thing about this is that most draw-bias drivers are higher performing for forgiveness and fall behind a bit in distance.

The Max D posted a 9.4/10 distance score and led in both carry and total yards. For golfers who struggle with a slice or are falling behind a bit in distance capability, picking up a used Max D could be a good choice.

✅ Long carry distance, very forgiving, built-in draw bias, ideal for slicers.

❌ Accuracy is only average; draw bias may overcorrect for players who already turn the ball over.

Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Driver

  • Runner-up for best driver in 2024 – from $229–$305+

The Triple Diamond was runner-up for best golf driver of 2024. It had strong forgiveness and distance scores, along with a compact, low-spin head that testers appreciated. The Ai Smoke Triple Diamond was not the most accurate of all drivers we tested but with the right swing mechanics, the mix of performance here is a strong one.

✅ Strong combination of distance and forgiveness; testers like the penetrating flight and the overall feel.

❌ Less forgiving than other models in the lineup so not a good choice if you struggle with low launch.

Callaway Paradym X Driver

  • Best mix of accuracy and forgiveness in 2023 – from $155–$239+

If you don’t mind going back to the 2023 releases, you can save even more money on a used driver from Callaway Pre-Owned. The Paradym X driver earned high scores for forgiveness and shot-to-shot consistency.

It features a slight draw bias and a high MOI design that works particularly well for mid- to high-handicap golfers. It finished in the top five in our 2025 driver testing. One of the only downsides was slightly higher spin rates that some players weren’t looking for.

✅ Very stable on mishits, excellent accuracy and easy launch for most players.

❌ Slightly higher spin than some players want; looks and sound weren’t the best of the 2023 test.

Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS Driver

  • Great for accuracy and high swing speeds in 2022 – from $141–$250+

MyGolfSpy testers praised the Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS in 2022 for its precision and low-spin control. It was a standout for high swing speed players and those who have great control over the club head. For better players who want to keep spin down but also want to maximize control, it’s a solid choice. As a 2022 model, pricing is at its lowest ever.

✅ Excellent for penetrating ball flight, shot control and low-spin performance.

❌ Not as forgiving—best suited for confident strikers with faster swing speeds..

I bought the AI Smoke Max D “like new” for $250 total a few months ago. I tested it with the regular AI Smoke Max at Roger Dunn prior and didn’t have any discernible differences with going offline. Paired it with a Newton 4 dot shaft and am nuking it. Last driver I bought was Epic Max LS, also “like new” off Callaway Pre-Owned and saved a couple hundred dollars there too. There are always great deals to be had.

I have the AI Smoke Max and have played with or hit all on that list. I recently purchased a Great Big Bertha 23 from Callaway Pre Owned and, for my game, outperforms all of them. Not to mention its cheaper than all the others listed and came in plastic.

Really appreciate MGS posting articles like this, recognizing that not everyone wants to shell out top $$ for new stick. A great added feature to True Fit would be to be able to specify “no newer than” when submitting specs so it could recommend used gear (i.e. what’s my fit for 2024 models or prior”
