Many of the 2009 drivers are just starting to show their face to the public. But none of them were for sale yet….right? Well that was true up until today. We got word from an employee at GolfDiscount.com that they were going to begin taking pre-book orders for the new 2009 Cobra L5V driver today! So if you are looking for one of the first ones you can pick one up there. It looks like they are pre-booking for $399. One of the main feature to this years L5V will be the ability to change the face from 2 Degrees Open to Square (pics below)

Cobra drivers often times don’t get as much press as some of the other major brands, but we think they should. If you have hit a Cobra in the last 5 years you would most likely agree. Year in and year out…they produce one solid driver after another. And ever since Titleist took over, they immediately established themselves as a major player in the golf club business. I bet Titleist designers were quite pleased as well…since this would finally allow them to step outside the box a little when it comes to designing drivers. Being a Titleist driver or iron designer has got to get boring from time to time…nothing changes too quickly over there.
