Personally I could care less about how the sole of a driver looks. When do you ever see it throughout your swing? Just show me pictures of how it looks at address and maybe a picture of the face. Love both of the new Cobras, S2 & ZL.

This is the sexiest looking driver Cobra has ever made IMO. I’ve never liked the dimples on the crown of their other drivers, so I love that the top view is very classic looking. It would be fun to try this sucker out.

I really like the looks of this driver, and can’t wait to hit it.

Is this an interchangable shaft driver? Or is that a permannent screw bore into the hosel?

looks like the L5V hosel (notice the N and the torx screw at the bottom). You can change shafts and the face angle 1 deg closed. I may be wrong and it could be more settings but I’m pretty sure this has the detachable hosel….Not sure if that will roll to production though.

ANSWER FROM TITLEIST: ZL is made as an interchangeable driver. There are three face angle settings; open, neutral & closed. You will also have the option to purchase after market shafts through all Cobra retail partners.

Wow…that thing looks like a weapon! Well done Cobra, I think you have nailed it this time. If the sound of the thing has been improved to match the looks….I’m sold already.

Did you take the last photo yourself?

I like the fact that it isn’t overloaded with color. The basic look is very appealing.

I do as well CJ… I am a minimalist when it comes to drivers with all kinds of other technology going on. I do like a small accent color sometimes but I prefer a head like this…Sharp!

I really like the look of it. Looks more high-tech than it probably is… but really clean look at address, as well as two options for customization of ball flight. I really hope they have an option for better golfers though… that weight in the heel (which was a SWINGWEIGHT in the L5V) looks more likely to be for a draw biased system.
Really a beautiful club though… not too many out right now that LOOK that good…. now, the true question…. does it PERFORM?!???!?

Looks good kinda reminds me of a sports car but maybe too close to the Lv5 for me

Personally I like the sole…if this was a TM hyped release people would be going gaga over it I think.

ANSWER FROM TITLEIST: It’s not an L5V replacement. It has been totally redesigned for a better set up, great sound & phenomenal feel and performance. The only similarity to L5V is that they’re both made with Titanium and carbon fiber.

This looks really good!

Im a fan…so far…waiting to hit one for next remarks. Maybe it will replace the other Cobra in my bag or the other 13 drivers i have in this mammoth tour bag. I have to downsize.

At first glance I thought this was just a black and white shot of an L5V – but the question is will it perform any better than the L5V – or is it just another sales gimmick?

From what we hear it is the real deal…but have to hit it first. I no longer believe any of the hype.

Got a chane to hit it yesterday. Very solid. High but piercing ball flight; they’ve elimnated the “tin can” sound. I liked it and will give it a go in November once it’s released.
