“NAME THAT PUTTER!” for Bobby Grace

Two weeks ago Bobby Grace & MyGolfSpy joined forces for a contest and event never done before in golf. That event was when we launched the “Name That Putter” contest. It allowed golfers from around the world to actually NAME Bobby Grace’s next innovative putter offering in his upcoming AMG line and WIN an Artist Series custom putter worth $1000!

Yes…the famous putter designer Bobby Grace…one of the most recognized names in the world let a MyGolfSpy reader name his next gem. Just think…one of our readers could have named the next putter to win a major!

The New Name Of The Bobby Grace Putter Is…..(Drum Roll)

TRIUMPH has been chosen as the name of Bobby Grace’s latest design in his AMG series of putters. The winning submission was the idea of Rob Zarandona of Fullerton, California. Bobby Grace stated that Triumph resonated with him and his design team, saying “Triumph embodies everything about this putter design in that we feel we have succeeded in making the ultimate game improvement putter in terms of forgiveness and feel.”

The Triumph putter is part of Bobby Grace Putters soon to be released AMG (All Machined Grace) series and will retail for $199. The Triumph will also be available in Belly and Long versions later in 2009.

In addition to the pride of knowing that a putter named by him will be hitting retail shelves and tour professional’s bags later this year, Rob also won a one of a kind handmade Bobby Grace Artist Series putter valued at $1,000. 12 other winners were chosen in a random drawing of all other submissions. Congrats to all the winners! I really appreciate the fact that Bobby Grace actually allowed us, the common folk, to help name his putter. You wont find many companies that will do things like this. Thanks My Golf Spy for such a great contest and the thanks to Bobby Grace for allowing this contest to happen. Best of Luck with the new line!
