Test Top-Secret Golf Clubs!
What if I told you that you could test all of the most top secret prototype golf clubs from Cleveland Golf? What if I then told you that you could be the voice that decides whether or not the new Cleveland driver sees the light of day? Sweet right? Guess what, you can!
Most golf nuts like us would love to be a golf club prototype tester. No… we’re not talking about testing strange medications or face creams that will probably turn you red, we’re talking about testing new, never seen before golf clubs.
The CG Launch Squad
Cleveland has a pretty cool program called the “CG Launch Squad” that literally puts you in the test-driver’s seat. Basically, the Launch Squad is a group of people that go above and beyond the role of a robot testing launch angles and distance, into how the club should feel, play, and respond to actual human beings. If you’re eligible, you get to play their clubs and fully test them before they even hit stores, before anyone else even knows they exist. So if you want to get Behind-the-Scene and become a MyGolfSpy yourself then go apply now!
According to the folks over at Cleveland, they are,
“looking for men and women interested in testing new golf equipment. Because we find that using real people to test golf clubs is more accurate and more revealing than relying solely on a robot, we’re looking for golfers of all abilities who are willing to hit the latest in golf club technology. The Cleveland Golf Launch Squad is made up of people who enjoy golf and want to test new state-of-the-art equipment before it even hits the stores.”
FREE Cleveland Golf Gear
They also have a “CG Launch Squad Incentive Program” that even allows you to earn free clubs, bags, and gear from them just for doing these simple tests. Show up, whack some golf balls, help test and after a few visits you can go home with a free bag, wedge, putter, utility wood, fairway wood or even a driver.
The only bummer to this whole thing, and for people like me, it is a pretty huge bummer, you have to go to them to do it. Their “Old Ranch” facility is located in Seal Beach, California, so if you’re local, you’re set, but if you are not, you have some traveling to do. Maybe eventually they will set up some sort of “remote” testing that will allow you to test from the comfort of your own home course.
Voice Your Opinion
So if your from the area check it out the “CG Launch Squad”…if your not then try and get them to have one in your area. You never know…they might start one up if enough MyGolfSpy readers voice their opinion.
