Is This Golf Hat Brand A Rival For Melin?

When it comes to premium golf hats, Melin has become the brand to beat.

Now, another company is throwing their hat into the ring (pun intended): Kabra Golf.

Kabra Golf isn’t trying to be the next Melin. Instead, it’s focused on creating its own path—and after we tested their hats, it’s clear that they’ve found their lane. Kabra is focused on high-quality hats and an innovative design to simplify the process of utilizing a ball marker on the golf course.

Hats with ball markers attached have been a cause of controversy in the past, with some appreciating the innovation and others calling it a gimmick. Kabra knows that there’s a balance, and they believe that they’ve found it.

The Iron Goat Hat is your typical rope hat with a few details that make it above average.

The sweatband is elite.

A hat is only as good as its sweatband. The Kabra interior sweatband is much thicker than your typical golf hat. There are few things worse than watching your brand-new golf hat wither away due to sweat seeping through near the front brim.

The ball marker technology is a win.

The idea of placing a ball marker on a hat brim isn’t a new one but the intention was to create a design that isn’t just functional but stylish.

The Iron Goat Hat has magnets on the left and right sides of the brim, allowing you to place your ball marker on either the top or bottom side of the brim. While other hats show where the magnet is, Kabra Golf decided to keep it invisible so the Iron Goat Hat looks like a normal golf hat when the magnet is missing.

If you want your golf hat to look normal off of the course but work for a ball marker on the course, the Iron Goat Hat is a good choice.

Final thoughts

I have one beef when it comes to the Iron Goat Hat.

Price.

I’m still early in the life cycle of my Kabra Golf hat so only time will tell if $54 will be worth it in the long run. A good golf hat should last multiple seasons when put into rotation with your other favorites, especially at that price.

Outside of that, I have no other qualms. It absorbs sweat like a pro, fits well and holds your ball marker without giving off “gimmicky” vibes.

The Iron Goat Hat is a winner—and if you’re a hat lover like me, you’ll appreciate the addition to your collection.
