Is This TRUE Linkswear’s Best Spikeless Shoe Ever?

The TRUE Linkswear ANTIGRAVITY.

With a name this bold, it better be their best spikeless shoe yet.

TRUE Linkswear doesn’t make the best golf shoe in the world, but they do make the best hybrid golf shoes that the industry has to offer. If you’re looking for a shoe that can do more than just golf, you’re in the right place.

The Antigravity is a refreshing upgrade of previous TRUE golf shoes with a major emphasis on additional rebound and comfort. TRUE has always been focused on shoes that feel good to walk in, but the Antigravity is on another level.

Stan Lee coined the famous phrase of “True Believers” back in the 60’s and 70’s when interacting with fans. This isn’t an article about comic books or superheroes, but I can confidently say that I’m a ‘TRUE believer.’

Where the Antigravity wins

The TRUE Antigravity is BOUNCY.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d try and reclaim my 35 inch running vertical that I haven’t had since high school. With the TRUE Antigravity on foot, I might be able to. I’ll report back.

The TRUE Antigravity utilizes a Pebax midsole that is much bouncier than traditional options. In fact, a study by Arkema noted that Pebax returns 80-90% of your energy which is nearly double the competition. You’ll feel it the minute you step into them.

The toe box is wide, but not too wide. TRUE has had other shoes where although the toe box is conveniently large, it looks slightly awkward aesthetically. I don’t know if I’d use the term “clown shoe,” but any wider on some of the other models and I might have to. The Antigravity’s toe box is perfect.

The tongue is built for increased breathability. It almost feels like there is a little A/C unit blasting extra air down to my dogs at all times. This is a major win if your feet constantly get sweaty on the course.

The Antigravity is available in four colorways. Pictured in this article is the “Glacier Navy” colorway.

Where the Antigravity loses

The heel collar is too rigid for my liking.

Additional support is a plus when it comes to the collar, but the Antigravity took a bit of extra effort to get on/take off compared to other TRUE models.

The traction is well below average.

In my opinion, this is something that TRUE Linkswear still hasn’t quite figured out. The “t” shaped traction pattern that they use on the majority of their spikeless shoes isn’t cutting it. Take the adizero ZG for example- this is how spikeless traction should look and perform.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again- if TRUE figures out traction, we’ll start to have some uncomfortable conversations.

If you’re a heel striker, you may notice some fatigue when walking with the Antigravity on foot. While the Antigravity is bouncy, the overall construction of the shoe brings your heel closer to the ground with a slight reduction in comfort and support.

The removable insole is an added bonus but TRUE opted for something thin when they could’ve gone all in and created a monster with a top-tier insole. The featured insole is thin and provides a small bump in comfort.

The Outro

So… Is the Antigravity TRUE Linkswear’s best spikeless shoe ever?

There’s a recipe for success when it comes to making good golf shoes. The TRUE Linkswear Antigravity checked every box aside from traction and I’ll check half the box for comfort.

I’ve tested roughly a dozen TRUE shoes, and I’ve never felt this kind of bounce. The bounce helped my feet stay energized throughout my round by reducing fatigue and giving my feet a break.

The traction is on par with every other spikeless model they’ve released, so the Antigravity doesn’t lose points here, but it doesn’t gain any either. The playing field is level in the traction category.

The mix of the Pebax midsole and the minimal addition of the removable insole created TRUE’s best comfort yet. They’re trending in the right direction.

When you mix all of these things together, the recipe creates a high-performing golf shoe that deserves recommendation to all golfers-specifically the walking crowd.

Add spikes and an enhanced removable insole, and these bad boys aren’t just TRUE Linkswear’s best spikeless shoe—they could be a contender for one of the best spikeless shoes of 2026.

Every shoe I wear is an 11 medium, no exception. So I tried a True Golf Shoe which I bought directly from True. It didn’t come close to fitting. I couldn’t even get the shoe on! Called True and CS said “that shoe fits tight and you needed to get a larger size”! Said no thanks, so they game me a refund and a discount off a more”conventional” model, which I ordered. Wore for about 10 rounds and trashed. I now have Olu-Kai waterproof and they are great!

I actually told the guys at True the same thing. Make this shoe with a spiked sole and make it breathe a little better and it would be game changing.

We are truly living in a great age of golf footwear. There are so many great companies out there providing options on style, comfort, stability, and traction. Foot Joy, True, Paynter, and Adidas are just a few of my favorites but there is a manufacturer/shoe for everyone. The only challenge now is to decide which pair to wear on any given day.
