Make it Your Own with NIKEiD Lunar Control 4

Nike’s brand new Lunar Control 4 shoes is one of the boldest cats on the block. I mean…a huge swoosh on the toe. Who does that?

Half of the NFL…maybe more, but that’s not the point. For some golfers, a group often bound, nay…restricted by tradition, Nike’s in-your-face approach to 2016 has been a bit too overt. What can I tell you, the Covert days are over. This is how Nike does golf.

It’ time for you to make a choice. You can rage against the new style, or you can make it your own.

NIKEiD Lunar Control 4

Nike’s custom ID program has been wildly popular among sneaker enthusiasts, so it’s no surprise that Nike is offering ID for its flagship Lunar Control 4 golf shoe. You now have the opportunity to take Rory’s shoe and make it your shoe. How cool is that?

NIKEiD makes it all about you.

You choose the colors. You choose the textures. You can even add some personalization under the tongue. Short of removing the swoosh or turning the LC4 into a hightop, the sky is the limit.

Here’s a handful of custom designs I came up with.

Very nice my design sir! If only they offered a deeper blue I would buy a pair direct from you!

I’ve been playing around with the Nike Id site for years with regular sneakers. Love the creativity it gives you. Unfortunately, I have yet to purchase a pair…And since I didn’t win the Powerball, that tend will continue for quite some time.
I do wish they would allow you to remove the swoosh on top though. I think it is distracting, plus cheapens the look a little.

Doesn’t Footjoy and Adidas offer this and have so for years?

If the shoe is 170 and custom brings it to 210 just so I can hide the swoosh? I’m out.

But it is nice to see the futbol color pathways coming through.

I’d love to but Nike didn’t make this model in Wide so I’m out.

Age 68. I like it. I like all of the color combos where the swoosh on the toe is that same color as the shoe, so it’s not so “in your face”. I would like it better if the swoosh were gone. Too many swooshes just ruins the look; makes it cheap looking. My favorite is all white with lunar speckles.

      Tony,
Don’t understand the fuss as MyJoys have offered customization for years and in different shoe styles.
I’m 49 and like being able to design my own golf shoe.
