As Big Sean once said: “Last night took an L, but tonight I bounce back.”
In this case, “last night” means the Wyndham Championship—and the “L” refers to my betting picks.
I went 2-for-7 on individual player picks with none of my five official bets cashing. That being said, it’s a new week and I’ve got my five favorite bets for the BMW Championship locked and loaded.
Let’s bounce back.
Scottie Scheffler: Top-5 Finish (-200)
Scheffler won the 2025 BMW Championship and is coming off an eight-stroke victory in Memphis.
There’s absolutely no reason to think he’ll cool off this week in Saint Louis. He leads the PGA Tour in SG: Tee-to-Green and is hitting nearly 73 percent of greens overall. Incredible.
A $10 bet returns roughly $15 (only $5 in profit) but Scottie feels like the safest bet on the board.
Top European: Tommy Fleetwood (+500)
Betting on the top player from a specific region can increase the probability of making a correct pick while also increasing your payout.
Fleetwood is coming off a good week in Memphis, displaying steady, consistent play capped off by a three-under final round. I expect ol’ reliable to stay hot in Maryland and notch the top spot among the Europeans.
A $10 bet returns $50.
Hole-In-One: Yes
One of my favorite bets is the tournament hole-in-one prop.
You’re simply betting on whether there will be a hole-in-one during the tournament. If you’re looking for a way to enjoy all four rounds with a little extra suspense, bet “yes” on the hole-in-one prop.
A $10 bet returns $32.50.
First Round—Top-5 Finish: Sam Burns
Sam Burns has been in the mix all year but he’s running out of time to notch his first win of 2026.
If he wants to contend on Sunday afternoon, he’ll need a strong opening round. Burns currently ranks 38th in first-round scoring average and opened last week’s tournament with a three-under 67.
A $10 bet returns $55.
Hail Mary: Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, Chris Gotterup to finish Top 20
The four names above are tied for the most wins in 2026.
If you’re looking for a bet featuring four of the PGA Tour’s most reliable players of 2026, this is a great pick. You’re essentially betting that all four will finish inside the top 20 at the BMW Championship.
A $10 bet returns $35 total.
Let me know which bets I missed below!
