Our Top Five Favorite Bryson DeChambeau YouTube Videos

Bryson DeChambeau is all the rage at the moment.

He won the U.S. Open for the second time and has become the greatest showman in golf. His 55-yard bunker shot on the 72nd hole will now go down as one of the most timely clutch shots in major championship history.

Unlike several prominent players who left the PGA Tour for LIV, DeChambeau’s decision has resulted in some of the best golf of his career while also allowing him the flexibility to create content on the side.

A big part of that content is DeChambeau’s bustling YouTube channel. When the final putt dropped at the U.S. Open, his channel had 695,000 subscribers. A few weeks later, that number has already exceeded 800,000 subscribers.

And it’s not just big subscriber numbers—the views and engagement on his videos are unprecedented for a player of his caliber. Just one week after posting about winning the U.S. Open, the video had over 700,000 views.

Personally, I have enjoyed the type of videos DeChambeau makes. He collaborates with a lot of other YouTube golfers while also catering his content to golfers of all abilities.

Here are five of his videos you should take the time to watch.

5. How To Create Repeatability In Your Golf Swing

You don’t normally associate DeChambeau with instruction but a few of his best videos are about technical aspects of the golf swing.

In this video, he gives swing and practice advice to a junior golfer. I appreciate the part about visualization where he asks the junior to hit the same shot shape on repeat, giving him specific parameters.

Repeatability is the path to great golf. This is a great example of that.

4. Challenging GM Golf To A Match With Hickory Clubs

It’s hard to beat Bryson dressed in overalls, using no glove, while playing hickory clubs.

In this nine-hole challenge, he takes on Garrett Clark of Good Good. Clark gets the benefit of 2024 technology while DeChambeau has to use old hickories.

It’s impressive to see how he adapts to the technology. I would pay good money to watch all the top players in the world compete in a tournament with hickory clubs.

3. A Day On The Course With Chris Pratt

As a huge fan of the TV show “Parks and Recreation,” I greatly enjoyed this video with Bryson playing alongside actor Chris Pratt.

Pratt is an absolute riot watching one of his sporting heroes take on Pratt’s home course.

As an added bonus, you get Bryson coaching Pratt on course management. The two make a fun pair.

2. Can GM Golf and I Break 50 From The Red Tees?

As part of DeChambeau’s “Breaking 50” series, he plays a two-man scramble from the forward tees and tries to shoot the lowest score possible.

This video with Clark is my favorite installment of the series. It’s nothing short of remarkable what these guys can do on a 5,200-yard golf course where the number they are trying to hit is 23 under. It almost feels like a video game.

Another part I appreciate about DeChambeau’s videos is that you are always learning. On the first hole, he goes into detail describing how it’s easier to make downhill putts rather than uphill putts. Fascinating stuff.

1. Can I Break Par With A Walmart Starter Set Of Clubs?

I’m enamored with this video where Bryson attempts to break par playing six holes with a set of junior golf clubs from Walmart.

I won’t spoil it but let’s just say that one of his drives goes about as far as one of my drives… and I’m using a standard-length COBRA Darkspeed.

The set only has four clubs. Somehow, he figures out a way to make it work.

We like to tell ourselves that we could be professionals if we got access to the best equipment and training. No, we can’t. If professional golfers can beat the vast majority of us with low-quality junior golf clubs (which they can), then I think we all have to admit that these guys are light years better than we’ll ever be.

Great list! Can’t argue with any of these. His stuff with Martin Borgmeier is also gold.

I love both the break 60 and break 50 series. It has made me appreciate just how talented Bryson is. It’s great to see the team camaraderie that exists in a Scramble format and you become engaged in their quest to get beat the challenge.

      Honorable mention to:

      1. 1v1 one club challenge Bryson v Garcia. Full ball striking and shot making on full display. Great entertainment shows how really good they are. Bryson chose a 7i and Garcia with a 5i.

      2. 2v2 best ball money match between Bryson’s crushers against Phil’s in a back and forth match prior to an event match. The back and forth gamesmanship was just entertainment on its own.
