Sqairz Golf Shoes: Stable is the New Sexy

‍No matter where you stand on the golf course, one thing we can all agree on is that stability and traction matter. Say hello to Sqairz, the golf shoes that have taken the world by storm.. With their unique square-toed design and a focus on stability, it’s time to take a closer look at these conversation-starting shoes. In this comprehensive review, we dive into the nitty-gritty of Sqairz golf shoes, examining their features, pros, cons, and everything in between. So, lace-up, and let’s get started!

The Sqairz Story: A Tale of Innovation and Controversy

The Sqairz speed bold is the newest shoe in the sqairz golf shoe lineup.

Let’s kick things off with a little background on the Sqairz brand. In a world dominated by traditional golf shoe designs, Sqairz dared to be different. Founded by CEO Bob Winskowicz, Sqairz has taken the golf shoe market by storm, with their unique square toe box and bold claims of improved stability and distance.

The brand first made waves in 2020 with the launch of the Sqairz Speed golf shoes. Despite initial skepticism and polarizing opinions regarding the shoe’s unconventional look, they have quickly gained a loyal following, securing two consecutive “Best Stability” titles in MyGolfSpy’s Spiked Golf Shoe Buyer’s Guides.

The Science Behind the Square Toe

Sqairz’s unique square toe design isn’t just for show; there’s solid science behind the concept. By providing a wider base and allowing the toes to spread naturally, the square-toed shoes aim to improve balance, stability, and overall golf performance. The brand has worked extensively with Terry Hashimoto, the co-developer of the BodiTrack pressure mapping system, to validate the science behind its design.

The Sqairz Philosophy: Challenging Conventions

Their primary goal is to disrupt the golf shoe market by challenging long-held beliefs regarding footwear’s impact on performance. In a world where many golfers opt for spikeless shoes for their comfort and versatility, they stand as a staunch advocate for the benefits of spiked golf shoes.

Sqairz Speed: A Closer Look

Sqairz golf shoes have a square toe for better comfort and stability

The Sqairz Speed golf shoes are the cornerstone of the brand’s lineup. With their unique design, they’ve managed to secure a top spot in stability rankings and have garnered a loyal fan base. Let’s take a closer look at what sets these shoes apart from the rest.

Stability

The primary selling point is its unparalleled stability. The wide base and square toe design work together to provide players with an incredibly stable foundation, allowing them to stay grounded and in control throughout their swing.

Comfort

Contrary to what you might expect from such a unique design, the Sqairz Speed golf shoes are surprisingly comfortable. The wide toe box allows for a more natural fit, with plenty of room for your toes to spread out. They are plenty comfortable for walking the golf course, which is a non-negotiable for a solid golf shoe.

Elements

The Sqairz Speed shoes are designed to withstand the elements, featuring a two-year waterproof guarantee. This means that you can confidently wear these shoes in all weather conditions, without having to worry about soggy socks or damaged shoes. Afterall, it is important to keep your feet dry.

Traction

While the traction may not be its strongest suit, it still performs admirably in this category. The shoes feature Pivix Softspikes, which provide solid traction and grip on the golf course.

I have pair of the original Squaiz shoes and really like them. When it is dry, I still will often wear my Altra Trail shoes, especially when walking. I wore my pair of Squairz in a tournament yesterday as it rained the evening before. Very stable, very comfortable – love the wide toe box, and they proving to be durable as well. I would recommend them and hope to be selected as a tester for the new style.
