Adam Beach

My name is Adam Beach. This place, this site, it’s more than just a business to me, it truly is an expression of who I am and what I believe in, down to my core. I feel the work I do is a reflection of who I am and the idea behind the work I do is more important than the work itself. You see, I don’t actually see myself in the golf business at all, I am in the business of caring. I am a guy who wakes up with one goal: do the right thing.

Everyone is different. I always work on my stroke if I struggle with my putter. Different strokes for different folks.

Its not so much of rhythm as a confidence thing. I miss a few one round with one putter, oh well it had its chance I’ll try another one. Hell I own 13 of them. I am a good putter, I’ve played 72 hole tournaments and used 4 different putters. I play off scratch so the stroke is always there, its the belief in the putter that sometimes doesn’t stack up.

I rotate putters on a weekly basis. Putting is a confidence game, its got nothing to do with using the same putter forever.

To some people it might….I am not going to knock anyone, but I am the type of person that the putter is not fixing my stroke. In my opinion no matter which putter is in your hand, if you make a bad stroke the results will not be what you are wanting. I am a one putter guy. My putting is not tour level nor do I expect it to be, but how can you get any rythmn when you switch putters so often? I don’t see how it helps.

“I have seen a little piece of technology in putters that could be good” – Mr. GolfSpy, are you allowed to be more specific?

Putter classics with a twist. Beer with a lime?

I can understand changing your driver once every few years and even changing out a few of your irons for hybrids. But a putter is a club that requires years of use to gain feel for it. If you have a good putting stroke then your trusty old putter won’t let you down. I have a 30 year old blade putter that I still use to this day.

Actually next to the driver the putter is the most changed club in the bag…but I do understand what you are saying. But is has also been proven that a switch can make you a better putter but only in the short term…its like a placebo effect.

I was just looking at these pictures again and was wondering…..did the Daytona get a hair bigger? It looks more like a Cameron Fastback.

They look like the ugly cousins of the Cameron Newport DeTour family. They really don’t do much for me.

Hooray Beer! or should I say Hooray Putter! Anyways, the new putters look good. I guess the red will make the looks more visual for the alignment aids. My question to all the OEM’s and putter companies out there is……how many times can you try to change the few main styles of putters we always see? What will be the next major breakthrough in putters? We haev seen the same old song and dance for the past few years.

LOL!!! Good one! I don;t know when the putter companies will get it either CJ…I have seen a little piece of technology in putters that could be good but I don;t know if it will actually get in the right hands to make it big.
