Testers Wanted: PING G440 Long Game Series

We’re looking for four MyGolfSpy Forum members to test and review the new PING G440 long game lineup, including driver, fairway wood and hybrid. This is your chance to see if PING’s newest technology delivers meaningful performance gains off the tee and from long range.

This test is all about putting PING’s latest innovations to the test. Are the improved speed and forgiveness real? Does their new design offer something tangible to everyday golfers? That’s for our testers to find out.

About the PING G440 drivers

There are multiple models in the G440 driver family, each tuned to meet different needs.

  • G440 LST: A compact 450cc head designed to offer lower spin and more potential control.
  • G440 MAX: Offers a blend of forgiveness and speed in a slightly more compact footprint than prior MAX releases.
  • G440 SFT: Larger profile with draw-bias weighting which claims to help tame slices and is now available in a nine-degree loft.

All G440 drivers feature a new internal hosel design that aims to save weight and increase ball speed, particularly in the heel area. Carbon crown construction is used across the line to shift weight low and deep, claiming improved forgiveness and optimized shot-shape correction.

About the PING G440 fairways and hybrids

The G440 fairway woods offer three models and single hybrid model.

  • MAX: Aims to deliver high launch, strong ball speed and better dispersion than previous models.
  • SFT: Features a shallower face and more draw bias, trying to help players hit better shots off the turf.
  • LST: Designed for higher swing speeds, using new materials to fine-tune spin and launch for tee and fairway performance.
