Testers Wanted: Srixon ZXi Irons

We are seeking three U.S.-based MyGolfSpy Forum members to test and provide feedback on the new Srixon ZXi irons. Each tester will have the opportunity to evaluate either a blended set or a straight set from the ZXi lineup, putting Srixon’s performance claims to the test in real-world conditions.

The ZXi lineup features three distinct models—ZXi7, ZXi5, ZXi4—each with its own blend of materials, shaping and performance traits. Whether you’re looking for workability, forgiveness or speed, this series was designed to offer something for a wide range of players.

About the Srixon ZXi irons

The Srixon ZXi series introduces innovative technologies aimed at enhancing feel, distance and forgiveness:.

  • i-Forging Technology: This new forging process utilizes specific materials to improve feel and performance. The ZXi7 irons feature S15C steel, Srixon’s softest steel to date, while the ZXi5 and ZXi4 irons have faces that are 14 percent softer than previous models.
  • PureFrame expansion: In the ZXi7 irons, an expanded PureFrame design reduces vibrations by 9.3 percent according to Srixon, enhancing feedback and feel.
  • MainFrame Variable Face Thickness: Present in the ZXi5 and ZXi4 irons, this technology maximizes ball speed and forgiveness through a network of milled channels on the backside of the face.
  • Tour V.T. Sole Geometry: Ensures clean turf interaction for more controlled strikes, now included in the ZXiU utility irons for added versatility.

Will these advancements translate to better on-course performance and irons that outperform their competitors?

Tester Responsibilities

Selected testers will:

  • Evaluate performance: Assess the irons across various aspects, including distance, forgiveness, feel and overall playability.
  • Test in real-world conditions: Use the irons in diverse playing situations to determine their versatility and performance consistency.
  • Engage with the community: Share testing experiences, insights and any fitting adjustments in the MyGolfSpy Forum, fostering discussions and aiding fellow golfers in understanding the nuances of these irons.
  • Provide honest feedback: Offer unbiased opinions to help fellow golfers make informed decisions.
