The Best Military Discounts in Golf

MyGolfSpy proudly supports our veterans and military personnel. May is Military Appreciation Month and we wanted to highlight some of the best available deals and discounts that are available to them.

What follows is a brief list of some of the best military discounts available in golf equipment and apparel. Here are some of our top finds for our men and women in uniform.

Under Armour

Under Armour carries a wide range of golf apparel from polos and shorts to rain gear and golf gloves. Their golf shoes in particular rate very highly for stability and comfort. Look no further than our Best Spiked Shoes of 2024 Buyer’s Guide, where the Under Armour HOVR Drive Pro took Editor’s Choice honors.

Under Armour

Under Armour offers a 20 percent discount to active-duty military, veterans and first responders. Under Armour routinely doubles that discount for limited times throughout the year! Those HOVR Drive Pro shoes regularly retail for $170. Catch that 40 percent discount and they can be had for just over $100! You’ll also find the discount applies on top of sale prices, including outlet deals. It’s a fantastic opportunity to stock up on polos, shorts and all your other apparel needs.

PXG

It’s no secret that Parsons Xtreme Golf is the brainchild of billionaire Bob Parsons, founder of GoDaddy.com. Perhaps less well known: Mr. Parsons is a Marine. I know, he’s not in the Marines anymore. Ask one and they’ll tell you: Once a Marine, always a Marine. Let’s just say the man hasn’t forgotten his roots. Under their Heroes program, PXG offers the most generous discounts in golf equipment. Do you covet the new Black Ops driver? Register for Heroes pricing and the price drops from $599 to $449. The savings apply across their entire lineup, sometimes at even steeper discounts. For example, 0211 irons go for $79 a club with Heroes pricing versus a regular price of $189.

Adidas

Under Armour isn’t the only apparel company offering a generous military discount. adidas extends 30 percent savings year-round. As regular readers of MyGolfSpy know, adidas has been faring extremely well in our golf shoe testing for years and 2024 was no different. The adidas Tour360 24 took top honors in this year’s Buyers Guide, scoring high for comfort and stability in particular.

adidas Tour360 24

The Tour360 24 is regularly priced at $200 but with that 30 percent off, the price comes down to $140. Apply that discount to the many excellent apparel options adidas offers and the deals are too good to ignore.

TaylorMade

When it comes to Tour play among golf equipment companies, is anybody having a better year than TaylorMade? Scottie Scheffler and Nelly Korda are looking like a better bet than the field each week and they’re both rocking a bag full of TaylorMade. The gear they’re gaming, like the Qi10 driver, can be bought at a 15 percent discount for active duty, veterans and first responders.

TaylorMade Qi10

Callaway

Not to be outdone, Callaway also offers a 15 percent discount to active duty, veterans and first responders. That means the entire family of Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke drivers that normally retail for $599 can be had for $510.

Maybe you’re more in the market for a putter?  Yes, the entire Odyssey lineup is available at 15 percent off, too.

Wilson

Wilson also offers 15 percent off. (In fact, that applies across all Wilson Sporting Goods but this is a golf article, so let’s stay on task.) Wilson’s irons are slowly generating a cult-like following and deserve a look, having consistently graded well for years in our Most Wanted testing.

PING

PING takes a slightly different approach. Rather than extend a discount, PING offers an online rebate. You can purchase certain PING clubs from almost any retailer, then apply online and provide a copy of the sales receipt and the serial numbers of your clubs. Be sure to check PING’s website first because the rebate applies to specific clubs, not the entire line. Some restrictions do apply depending on where you buy the clubs and the rebate expires at a certain point during the year. That said, it’s a generous listing of eligible clubs for rebates, including the G430 family of clubs from driver through irons.

Dunlop Sports

Dunlop Sports also offers a 15 percent savings to active-duty military and veterans. Interestingly, Dunlop is the parent company to Cleveland Golf, Srixon and XXIO. That’s a pretty wide range of golf equipment to have access to at a discount. High swing speed golfers should definitely consider giving the Srixon ZX7 MK II driver a try. It can be bought at the low price of $425 with the discount. If you’re after wedges, the discount will let you pick up a Cleveland RTX Full-Face 2 wedge for just $153.

NIKE

Ten percent savings for active-duty and veterans can also be had on NIKE apparel, shoes, and accessories. Yes, that includes Jordan golf shoes and the entire “Golf Essentials” Jordan lineup. If you can get them online while they’re in stock, the Air Jordan 1 Low G Colorway comes down to $135 from $150.

Using the Discounts

When shopping online, you’ll find most companies rely on the site ID.me to verify your discount eligibility. NIKE, Wilson and Dunlop Sports use SheerID to verify eligibility. When checking out online, you will typically be redirected to one of those sites to get the savings. Once you’ve verified your info, you’ll be sent back to your shopping cart to finish your purchase. Make sure you have an account with each of those sites to verify your eligibility for the discounts.

PXG’s Heroes pricing is literally front and center on their website but with others it’s a little harder to find the link that plugs you into the discount. In most cases, scroll to the very bottom of the website and you’ll find the link to ID.Me or a link entitled “Military Appreciation” or something similar. When in doubt, Google.

Don’t forget to check out GovX, which lists products from many golf companies for sale at discounted prices. Products from Ecco, Garmin, Stix Golf, Ghost Golf, Sunday Golf and more can be found listed on GovX. Discounts range from five percent to as much as 25 percent.

This is not an exhaustive list of military discount programs. Always do a quick search for potential savings before checking out. Discounts can also be had when shopping in person at Under Armour, NIKE, adidas and other brick-and-mortar stores, too. You’ll find clubfitters are often in on the action as well. Club Champion, for example, extends a military discount on fittings and equipment.

Clearly, the golf world appreciates our active-duty military, veterans and first responders. There are a lot of discounts available, some of them substantial, to express that appreciation. Golf can be an expensive sport. Any discount that makes the game more accessible and enjoyable helps, so take advantage of the savings that are available!

Does the military discount for Taylormade clubs apply in Canada?

Wilson is 30% off if you apply through Amer Sports.

If you sign up through the ExpertVoice website, you can get serious discounts on pretty much every golf brand. Cobra is 25% off. Lots of apparel through there, too.

On a side note, I recommend using the Capital One shopping app and you get cash back just buying stuff through the app. For example I got 18% back at Taylomade and Global Golf, and 15% back at pgatoursuperstore.

You should also do an article on golf courses that offer insane discounts to military. Kiawah for instance is somewhere in the neighborhood of a 70% discount for active military!

40% off of any Asics gear. They don’t have a ton of golf shoes, but they do have golf shoes. Don’t recall seeing them on MGS recently. It’s a per-purchase discount that can be used monthly. Quick aside – you’re a veteran living in Minnesota who served since 2001 you’re eligible for a veterans bonus. Which you could use to buy more golf stuff!
