These Golf Shoes Give Me That “Walk 18, No Problem” Feel

I’m going to level with you. When I was putting together the MyGolfSpy 2025 wishlist in December, there was one item I wanted more than just about anything else: the Heathlander golf shoe. I remember thinking that if Santa (my wife) somehow managed to get me a pair for Christmas, I’d be thrilled. I didn’t necessarily “expect” it to happen, but sure enough, that’s exactly what was under the tree.

Now that I’ve spent some real time walking in them, I can confidently say they lived up to what I was hoping for.

First things first, I’m a walking golfer, a there’s a very specific feeling you want from a golf shoe when you’re a walker. It’s a delicate balance because you’re not just looking for a shoe that’s comfortable, you’re looking for a shoe that is easy, and by that I mean they carry you from the first tee to the final green without you ever really thinking about it. That “walk 18, no problem” feeling is real, and that’s exactly what these deliver. From the first time I put them on, they felt broken in and supportive. After playing a VERY sloppy round in 47 degree weather over the weekend, the shoes were really the last thing on my mind.

What impressed me most is how balanced they feel. There’s enough cushioning to keep your feet happy, but not so much that you lose connection with the ground. After a full, and again sloppy round on uneven terrain, my feet didn’t feel beaten up or fatigued. They just felt fine, which honestly is the highest compliment I can give a walking shoe.

They also happen to look great. The Heathlander golf shoe is understated but incredibly unique looking, and easy to pair with just about any golf outfit. As someone who cares deeply about how they look on the course, Heathlander just appeals to my eye.

I wanted these shoes for Christmas, and I more than understand why. If you value comfort, walk your rounds, and want a shoe that doesn’t become part of the problem ever, Heathlander is an awesome choice.
