While the Rally wedge is certainly new to Tour Edge, it’s not entirely fresh within the wedge market. I suspect many of you will have the same first response I did, which was, “Hey, when did Tour Edge come out with a PM grind?”
I guess the answer is now.
In an industry that thrives on inspired by, Tour Edge’s new wedge is arguably more a case of duplicated by.
Copycats Are Everywhere
It’s a copycat industry and we all know it. When an OEM jolts the market with a unique or particular feature that garners attention, you can bank on several would-be suitors coming out with their unique takes. This one might be a bit more overt in its origins, but that might not be a bad thing.
The consumer knows what he’s getting, and if he can get similar performance for $50 less, that’s basically a win for everybody…except maybe Callaway.
All the performance for 60% of the cost? Sign me up.
Quick highlights from the press release include the Rally wedge’s versatility around the green. The concave flange, cambered sole, and high-toe design are listed as characteristics which give it an advantage over what’s currently in your bag.
A cursory glace suggests that Tour Edge’s Rally wedge could be a budget-friendly version of Callaway’s Mack Daddy PM grind, and there’s nothing necessarily wrong with that, especially if it gets the job done and takes 40% fewer dollars out of your pocket.
The Rally wedge will be offered in the following loft/bounce configurations: 54.13, 56.13, 58.10 and 60.10.
If you’re a lefty, you’ll have access to the 56* and 60* models.
The Rally wedge comes stock with the KBS Tour Black Nickel shaft ($79.99) or UST Mamiya Recoil ($99.99). The Lamkin UTx grip is standard. Stock length is 35.25″

Well what goes around comes around. Didn’t Callaway rip off Wilson’s Duo Soft golf ball?
