We can test 55 golf gloves, score them for fit, comfort, feel and grip and tell you which ones performed the best.
But there is another part of the equation.
Golfers still have to walk into a store, put one on and decide it is worth buying.
We asked PGA TOUR Superstore to share some of its top-selling golf gloves so we could compare what golfers are buying with the results from our 2026 golf glove testing.
This is one of those times when the two lists lined up pretty closely.
Several of the highest-scoring gloves in our test are also among PGA TOUR Superstore’s top sellers. There was also one interesting value option that shows why test scores don’t tell the entire story.
PING Tour
The PING Tour tied for the best overall golf glove in our 2026 test with a score of 9.6. It was nearly flawless for fit and one of the most breathable leather gloves we tested. Grip and feel were also among its strengths.
It is also on PGA TOUR Superstore’s list of top-selling gloves.
At $32, this isn’t a value golf glove. Golfers are paying premium glove prices for it. In this case, what performed best in our testing is also something golfers are willing to spend money on.
That may be the cleanest overlap between the two lists.
Titleist Players
The Titleist Players earned our Staff Pick award and finished with a 9.4 overall score.
It scored well for comfort, feel and grip, with fit being the only area where it gave up a little ground to the two overall winners.
The Players is also one of PGA TOUR Superstore’s top sellers.
This one probably shouldn’t be surprising. The Players has been around for a long time and Titleist hasn’t tried to reinvent it every season.
FootJoy SciFlex
The FootJoy SciFlex might be the most interesting of the three.
It didn’t receive one of our main awards but its 9.39 score put it just behind the highest-rated gloves in the entire test. It scored particularly well for fit and comfort.
PGATSS shoppers apparently like it, too. The SciFlex is among the retailer’s top selling gloves and currently sells for $24.
That puts it several dollars below the PING Tour and Titleist Players while still finishing within a few tenths of both in our testing.
But golfers don’t always buy the highest-scoring glove
This is where the TaylorMade Stratus Tech gets interesting.
The Stratus Tech was also among the top sellers PGA TOUR Superstore shared with us but it finished much farther down our 2026 test with an 8.83 overall score. Its fit was respectable but it gave up more ground in comfort, feel and grip.
So why is it selling?
Price probably has something to do with it.
PGA TOUR Superstore currently sells the Stratus Tech as a two pack for $23.99. That works out to about $12 per glove.
For comparison, the PING Tour costs $32 for one glove and the Titleist Players is $31.
If you play a lot of golf and go through gloves quickly, that difference adds up.
The Stratus Tech isn’t the glove we’d point to if you’re simply looking for the highest-rated performer from our test. But at roughly $12 per glove, it’s easy to understand why golfers are buying it.
What does this tell us?
There are plenty of reasons golfers buy a particular glove. Price matters. Brand matters. Fit matters and, with something you physically wear for four hours at a time, personal preference matters, too.
Still, there was more overlap here than I expected. The FootJoy StaSof, Titleist Players Flex, Titleist Perma Soft, Ghost Glove and TaylorMade TP were also on both lists.
