Thanks for a great review! I have been in the market for a new rangefinder and I have been debating between the Bushnell V6 Shift or the Precision Pro NX10. I know Bushnell is the top brand for rangefinders, but is there a huge drop off if I decided on the Precision Pro NX10. I know the Bushnell is sale for $349 and NX10 for $269, just wondering if I should spend the extra money for the Bushnell? Just looking for your thoughts.

I have owned both. Lost the bushnell, replaced it with the NX10. In my opinion, that was a significant decrease in performance. The NX10 doesn’t have the same indestructable feeling as the bushnell. It’s harder to lock onto your target, as i generally shoot each flag two to three times, making sure i am hitting the flag and that the readings are the same. The bushnell, pull it out shoot once and your good. Every so often I’d take a second reading just to be sure.

Hi, This BUSHNELL TOUR V6 SHIFT is a great quality product but I do find that I have to use an app on my phone such as SwingU to find hazards such as creeks or bunkers that you cannot see. Par 3 holes and hitting into a Green’s the BUSHNELL TOUR V6 SHIFT is great but still think that an app like SwingU is needed on courses you are familiar with. 8/10

Been relying almost exclusively on GPS for a long time, so long my last laser was a Bushnell V2. Sometimes, tho, when a course has different colors of flags for front / middle / back, and during your first visit there you don’t see them listed on the scorecard, a laser sure is a handy item! I much prefer the vibration confirming flag yardage vs the V2’s adding a circle to the crosshairs. The V6 almost refuses to lock onto a tree unless it is all by itself and the background is over 100 more yards away past it. Had a tree in the middle of a fairway today, based on yardage from V6 I decided to go to the edge instead of trying to fly the tee shot over. For all the use I put on them, the V2’s battery is still working, so it went into the spares inventory – same size (industry standard?). Rechargeable would be nice but not a big deal … until I have to buy another replaceable for $10+ due to the odd size (or more due to price hikes in the meantime!).
