There is a lot of cool gear in the golf equipment world that doesn’t always fit neatly into Most Wanted Tests or Buyer’s Guides. You still want to know how it performs. In our We Tried It series, we put gear to the test and let you know if it works as advertised.
What We Tried:
Mullybox Golf Subscription Box. I first reviewed Mullybox back in August 2023 but they’ve since refreshed. I figured it was worth another look since I enjoyed it so much the first time.
Who Tried It:
Connor. Managing Editor and resident sneakerhead. I believe golf is better with a pair of cool shoes and comfortable joggers
All in all, I definitely don’t need more golf stuff. But my wife doesn’t even know what Mullybox is so I can easily pass it off as a hot-sauce subscription box or something like that.
How Does It Work?
Mullybox is a subscription service that delivers quarterly curated packages of golf gear to your door. You don’t even have to lift a finger (if you have your kid or spouse grab it off the porch).
Subscription to Mullybox requires the following information:
- Gender
- Shirt size
- Style (choose from Athletic, Fun, or Mix it Up)
- Glove hand
- Glove size
Once you’ve filled out the subscription flow, you can decide which of the two Mullyboxes you want.
What’s the Difference Between the Mullybox and MB Apparel Box?
- The traditional Mullybox features golf gear and apparel including accessories, training aids and more. The traditional Mullybox features nearly $250 of value for $119 per quarter.
- The apparel-only Mullybox contains a polo, hat, golf belt and golf socks. The MB Apparel box provides a little less value ($150 in apparel) for the quarterly price of $94.99.
Mullybox Review: My Updated Experience
While I was thoroughly impressed with my first go-around with Mullybox, my second time around was just as good, if not better.
First and foremost, the delivery is prompt and the packaging is neat. No issues there.
But the real meat of the box (the stuff inside) was really good, too. Here’s a sampling of the gear I got in my Mullybox:
- Snapback hat
- Golf towel
- Golf glove
- Polo
- Headcovers
While the gear isn’t from household names that I’m used to (save the Palm Golf glove), it’s fun to get a box that allows me, a self-proclaimed “brand snob”, to try some unfamiliar faces.
I’m particularly impressed with the Villain Golf Co. headcovers. Man, are they sweet!
The last time around, it seems I got more knickknacks. You know, ball markers and stuff. This time around, I felt my box was much more useful and cooler.
Mullybox Subscription Box: Is it Worth It?
Just as I was in August of last year, I was impressed and satisfied with my Mullybox experience. The gear feels well curated and perfectly suited to my style.
That’s not to say you won’t ever get a dud or two. And you won’t necessarily find name-brand stuff (at least the big names like NIKE, adidas, etc.).
I can’t say for sure what future boxes will contain or what you’ll get in yours. But in terms of value, you’re getting a pretty decent “bang for your buck”, all without having to leave the couch.

Based on the article I ordered a box which due to delivery and customs arrived some $160 later.
Articles all feel cheap and other than the glove I won’t be using much. Glove is a Vice and feels quite good. Cap, shirt, a “glove caddie”, training aid and a Pain relieving Gel all not nice and/or of no use to me, so pretty disappointed. Shirt looks like a return from a sale.
Would send back if it wasn’t for hassle and cost.
