We Tried It: Rokform Golf Shooter Pro

I’m new to the monopod game. I’ve never tried one and figured they’ve got to be a dime a dozen. You stick a pole in the ground, slap your phone on it, press “record” and go.

Boy, was I wrong. The Rokform Golf Shooter Pro isn’t your average monopod. With a variety of features designed to enhance the user experience, this thing packs a punch. Let’s take a look at what makes it stand out from the crowd.

Design and build quality

Everything about the Golf Shooter Pro feels premium. It features an aluminum tip that makes it easy to stick into the ground and a steel extra-stiff shaft to help with stability regardless of conditions. There is also a golf grip on the Golf Shooter Pro which assists in getting it into the ground. I was really impressed with the overall build quality.

Super-strong magnets

Rokform’s MAGMAX Technology shines brightly with the Golf Shooter Pro. These magnets are strong, especially when paired with their Rugged phone case. It takes some effort to remove the phone from the mount when I am using their case which is much more than I can say when compared to my standard phone case. I have no concerns with my phone falling or slipping off of the Golf Shooter Pro when in use. Another cool feature is that the mounting system of the Golf Shooter Pro attaches magnetically to the shaft. This allows you to remove the top of the mount and attach it to a golf cart to record your shots from the fairway. This is a quicker option than sticking the shaft in the ground each time you take a swing and can save you time during those busy days on the course.

Dead phone battery? Not so fast

Another feature that helps the Golf Shooter Pro to stand out in the crowd is that the magnet features built-in wireless charging. I have not seen this feature in any other monopods and this feature is excellent if you record content throughout your rounds. An included USB-C cable allows you to attach any external power source to keep your phone fully charged. Never worry about a dead battery on the course again.

Your new go-to golf assistant

The Rokform Golf Shooter Pro makes recording your swing incredibly simple. The super-strong magnets mean you never have to worry about your phone falling off and missing that perfect shot into the green. A built-in charger will keep you powered throughout your round and the extra-stiff steel shaft provides stability in whatever conditions you come across. If you’re in the market for a monopod, take a hard look at the Golf Shooter Pro.
