(2)Testers Wanted Sub 70 699 Pro Irons

A product with solid value never goes out of style.

When that value is paired with exceptional service, you have an attractive package for golfers who aren’t necessarily looking to take out a second mortgage to purchase some golf equipment.

That’s the basic premise of Jason Hiland’s company, Sub 70, that leverages a factory-direct model to keep help keep costs low.

What about performance? Well, in 2019, the Sub 70 699 iron model finished sixth in the Players Distance category of Most Wanted testing. That might not sound like much until you consider it finished ahead of Callaway, PING, and Titleist. That’s an accolade worthy of some refrigerator space.

For 2020, the 699 Pro iron features a thinner topline, less offset, and a black, Tour PVD finish.

Testers Wanted

We’re looking for TWO golfers who are motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to providing a thorough review to put the Sub 70 699 Pro irons to the test.

Testing is open to golfers in the USA only.

Think you are a good fit?

Not sure if you have picked your testers yet, but I would like to apply. I am a 53 y/o male, been golfing for over 35 years. Currently have a 2 handicap, but have been down to a +3 before. I normally play blades or player-type irons and can certainly compare your clubs with some of the clubs that I have played before.

      14.5 Handicap
74 year old playing 4 or 5 days a week
Current irons are Mizuno JPX 919 Hot Metals (5 / GW)
Also have a set of Hogan Ft. Worth Blacks (4 / PW) that I play in the winter. (DTC busiiness model comparable to Sub70.)
I’d love to play and compare the Sub70’s with those two sets that I have found are well suited to mid-handicappers.
I recently got Shot Scope V3 and would add a second set of tags for the Sub70’s so I can provide great data on performance.

I am an avid golfer (4/5X per week), a 6 index; and switch irons often, so I am familiar with how different irons play. I am also a pretty good writer, so I could craft a review that would appeal to readers. I WOULD LOVE TO PUT THESE TO THE TEST! Thank you for your consideration.

I play all the time. I am in a few men’s leagues. I play on the 8 man team. I play with several new people every month. With these in my bag you’d get some free advertising and some word of mouth conversation.

Hello. I live in Fort Myers, FL and Pawleys Island, SC. Age 74, 13.6 handicap. Play 4-5 x week, with ping driver, Mizuno MP5 irons, 3-p, pluse 52, 54 and 58 wedges. Cameron Newport Select putter. Driver, 230-260, 7 iron, 150, 3 iron, 190.
Would love to compare these to my MP5’s. Although not sure any iron can compare to the 5’s in consistency and shot dispersion, (and feel).

Why only to US golfers ? If Sub 70 intends to sell world wide, this test should open to everyone in the world. I don’t mind paying for the delivery. There are a lot more golfers out there in the world.
