These 10 Golf Shoes Are Under $100 But We’d Only Spend Our Money on 5

Golf shoes are an essential part of any golfer’s gear because your game starts from the ground up. But does purchasing a pair require spending hundreds of dollars?

Not necessarily.

We found it’s possible to find quality golf shoes for less than $100 that offer comfort, stability, traction and can handle wet conditions.

5 golf shoes worth serious consideration

If you’re skeptical whether $100 or less can buy you a legitimate pair of golf shoes, check out these five options which might change your mind.

1. Skechers GO GOLF Max 2 Rover Slip-Ins Men’s Spikeless

Why we like them:

  • Lightweight with a hands-free design so you can slip on and off. Additional cushion and a relaxed fit make this an ideal shoe for regular and wide feet.

Good to know:

  • May be too loose for a narrow foot and available in only two color options.

2. PUMA Phantomcat Nitro

Why we like them:

  • Made of waterproof grain-leather so your feet stay dry in the wettest of conditions. It’s not only lightweight, it also has a low profile and high stability with its Flexspike technology (an integrated cleat you can’t remove).

Good to know:

  • Not all colors may be under the $100 price point.

3. FootJoy Fuel

Why we like them:

  • An approachable spikeless option from FootJoy, these shoes offer moderate cushioning alongside great traction. Available in narrow, regular, wide and extra-wide widths so you can tailor it to your foot size.

Good to know:

  • Features a rounded toe box and more narrow heel.

4. adidas CourseCup

Why we like them:

  • A more traditional look for this contemporary shoe, the adidas CourseCup includes full-grain leather on the upper part. Though spikeless, it features additional rubber on the outsole for better traction.

Good to know:

  • It’s worth noting these are water-resistant, not waterproof. It also has more of a narrow fit.

5. adidas CODECHAOS 25

Why we like them:

  • Another spikeless option from adidas, the CODECHAOS 25 includes a waterproof film. It offers solid traction and extra layering on the outsole for durability.

Good to know:

  • Available only in a medium-width size.

5 golf shoe options you might leave at the store

While we appreciate having numerous choices under the $100 mark, some golf shoes in this category might not stand up to your typical standards.

New Balance 997 SL Men’s spikeless

These New Balance offer a stylish, casual option for 18 holes and dinner after but if you prefer supportive cushioning for the balls of your feet, you’ll find these lacking.

PUMA Fusion Crush Sport Sustainability Limited Edition Men’s spikeless

The PUMA Fusion Crush Sport has earned a reputation for extreme comfort. However, waterproofing (or even water resistance) is almost non-existent with its mesh design. Only purchase if you’re confident you’ll be golfing in dry conditions.

NIKE Infinity G Next Nature Men’s spikeless

The NIKE Infinity G Next Nature spikeless shoe blends a sleek design with a water-repellent outer layer. However, the shoes are quite narrow, even with a wide width, so order with caution if you can’t try them on pre-purchase.

PUMA Slipstream G Men’s spikeless

PUMA Slipstream G Men’s spikeless shoes offer a stylish option for a casual round and many reviews praise its comfort. However, it offers limited traction and stability, making it a questionable choice for wet conditions.

Callaway Pacific SL Men’s spikeless

The Callaway Pacific SL Men’s spikeless shoes offer a comfortable choice for on and off the course but their lack of stability features may leave you slipping with a full swing.

Final thoughts

Let’s celebrate the fact there are many golf shoe options in the $100 or less category. Many of these cost-conscious models offer similar features you find in the $180-and-up price point.

I got say thank you. Good change from the $600 rain jackets and much for average golfers. Not skill level average, just those who dont throw money at stuff just to look like a tour player.

I want to add a newish brand here. Fitville, out of England or Germany.

Very inexpensive, very comfortable, very waterproof, but for me, they fit very wide feet easy. Find on Amazon, most shoes under $100.

      Thanks for article.

I’ve still yet to come across a dude wearing Skechers, and thankfully, the same can be said for “slip-ons” of any sort. If I eventually do come across said dude, I’ll be sure to ask him how he’s enjoying his iron covers.

What do you think he would say? I bet he would say “I like them very much.”

Unfortunately, due to my flat feet, finding shoes is a bit of a chore. I have to try anything on before I buy it, even shoes in the brands that already work for me.
