In terms of controversial topics, music on the golf course might be the most polarizing.
But we’re not here to debate golf etiquette. We’re here to find the best golf speaker your money can buy. Is a simple Bluetooth speaker all you need or is it worth paying extra for GPS, party mode, and all the other bells and whistles?
Some of the speakers we tested were built to provide premium sound. Others leaned into extra features like GPS yardages, multi-speaker pairing and golf-specific features. Some had both.
Whether you’re infected with Bieber Fever or you’re a diehard Deadhead, our 2026 testing pool has a golf speaker prepped and ready for your next round.
Let’s dive in.
Every buying guide at MyGolfSpy is informed by independent testing and millions of equipment data points, helping golfers separate marketing claims from measurable performance.
If you’re looking to start a jam session on the course, you should start with these top contending golf speakers. Some are packed to the brim with features while others focus primarily on out-of-the-box sound quality.
Regardless of what you’re looking for, we have the golf speaker for your specific game, budget and situation.
The Mileseey GeneSonic Pro offered premium sound from every distance. Our tester was able to hear their music clearly from nearly 50 yards. If sound quality is your top priority, you can't go wrong.
The detachable GPS is an underrated feature. You're able to connect your phone, start the GPS, and walk around with the detachable, handheld GPS rather than having to carry the speaker everywhere you go. The speaker stays in the cart; the GPS follows you to your next shot.
The GeneSonic Pro is anything but basic. If you're looking for something that will strictly play music, you're better suited choosing an option that is more of a barebones solution.
The GeneSonic Pro is the latest innovation from Mileseey, adding another top-performing gadget to their arsenal. If elite sound and premier innovation is your cup of tea, the GeneSonic Pro is your golf speaker.
Testers lauded the range that the GeneSonic Pro featured. One tester noted that “I could hear the music clearly from roughly 50 yards away. Only a handful of other speakers came close to matching the range and quality that the GeneSonic Pro featured.”
The Mileseey GeneSonic Pro is the best golf speaker of 2026. It pairs elite sound quality with industry leading innovation to create the perfect golf speaker that most golfers will benefit from utilizing.
The Bushnell WINGMAN HD features a solid frame that is built to outlast the elements along with normal wear and tear. If you are worried about long term use, the WINGMAN HD is a solid choice.
The WINGMAN HD didn't win best value, but it certainly meets the criteria for qualification. At $229.99, you're getting one of the best golf speakers and a built-in golf GPS.
This will be a common theme in this guide, but you shouldn't buy a golf speaker with a GPS if you're not going to utilize the GPS itself.
The Bushnell WINGMAN HD is the runner-up in this year’s golf speaker testing pool. If you’re searching for a blend of durability, premium sound quality and a fair price, the WINGMAN HD is worth looking into.
Testers appreciated appreciated the design of the WINGMAN HD, citing more trust in longevity compared to other designs.
The Bushnell WINGMAN HD is a great all-round option, scoring well in every category tested with a major emphasis on sound quality, durability and user friendliness.
The Pinned Sound Stick PRO is available in a number of different colorways, providing options for those that prefer something out of the ordinary.
The Pinned Sound Stick PRO contains several games such as Wolf, Nassau, Stableford and more. If you like playing different games with your golf buddies, you should consider letting the Sound Stick PRO help simplify the process.
If you've already got a golf GPS device, you should look for a speaker that is strictly meant for playing audio with premium sound quality.
The Pinned Sound Stick PRO is a bona-fide contender that impressed in every category across the board. If you’re looking for a golf speaker that meshes fun & competition, look no further.
Testers appreciated the built-in game options. One tester noted that “it’s perfect for those that are constantly playing side games on the golf course.”
The Pinned Sound Stick PRO is an option that features a more trendy design while maintaining high performance. If you’re looking for a golf speaker with quality sound, a durable frame, and extra GPS features, the Sound Stick PRO will suit you well.
The DPROFY V7M is by far the least expensive option from the 2026 testing lineup but it isn't "cheap." In terms of sound quality, the DPROFY V7M ranked second and barely missed out on first overall.
If you're looking for extra features (such as a built-in golf GPS), the V7M isn't the golf speaker for you.
The DPROFY V7M is the best value golf speaker of 2026. At $64.99, you’re getting some of the best sound on the market. When paired with exceptional ease of use, you end up with a solid value-based option.
Testers noted that the DPROFY V7M is easy to use right out of the box and offered sound that kept up with every other major model.
If you’re on a budget, the DPROFY V7M is the golf speaker of your dreams. The strong magnet, elite sound and low price are all you need if you’re OK with a basic golf speaker.
The 2026 lineup was full of contenders. If our initial picks didn’t catch your attention, here are a few more options.
All prices ranges are at time of testing and may not include current promotional discounts or sale prices.

Durability is the first thing to consider when purchasing a new golf speaker.
Can it survive through a rainstorm? Does it have a strong magnet? Is it going to survive multiple seasons of normal wear and tear?
The best golf speakers are constructed with premier magnets, a strong frame and waterproof capabilities.
Two options performed better than the rest of the pack in terms of durability:

Sound quality is the most important factor when choosing a golf speaker.
The best golf speakers featured audio that was clear and avoided clipping throughout the song and avoided muffled quality at max volume. It’s important to hear your music clearly when walking to and from the tee box and on the putting green.
Lucky for you, most of the 2026 testing pool performed above average in terms of sound quality.
Three speakers stood out with the best sound quality:

User friendliness can refer to a myriad of things when it comes to golf speakers but here are the top three.
Golf speakers that take too long to set up are agitating and the last thing you need is more agitation on the golf course.
The DPROFY V7M was by far the simplest to use out of the box and it’s the best value pick at $64.99.

Last but not least— features.
Golf speakers should contain extra features that make your experience better while increasing the longevity of your golf speaker.
There are a number of things that can increase performance, but these are the biggest staples.
Golf speakers that included GPS dominated this category but the gap between the top and the bottom is much smaller than you’d expect. Other bonus features included phone charging, phone notification syncing and games within the GPS.
If you’re looking for the golf speaker that has the most features, the Blue Tees Player Pro was jam-packed with extras.

1. Sound quality reigns supreme.
A built-in GPS is cool but you’re buying a speaker for quality sound.
Some of the top golf GPS devices landed at $200+. When you realize you can get a high-performing speaker and a built-in golf GPS device, the decision is much easier.
It’s extremely convenient when the entire testing pool averages an aggregate score of 9.5.
The lowest-rated golf speaker in our testing earned a 9.3 while the highest finished at 9.8. No matter which option you choose, you’ll be walking away with a top performer.
Below are the complete rankings for the 2026 golf speaker testing pool.
| OEM: | MODEL: | SCORE: |
|---|---|---|
| Mileseey | GeneSonic Pro | 9.8 |

To me, the best golf speaker is the one that is left at home. To many of the golfers that insist on having music, play it under the belief that everyone else wants to hear it too. Or maybe it’s that attitude that “Hey, MGS said this is the best speaker, sounds good doesn’t it?” Not a fan of music on the golf course. I have enough trouble focusing without the distraction of blaring music. And it’s either a piece with a guy screaming, cussing and swearing or some goatroper singing about having a beer. In the words of one of our SCJs, Cavanaugh, “I like beer” but I don’t have to sing about it.

The best one is the one with a dead battery.

The green superintendent at the course I grew up at always had the Twins baseball or Vikings and Gopher football games blasting off the radio that was mounted on the fender of a ford tractor. You could hear it all over the course.
As for todays trend – stuff it in the bag.

Walmart speaker with a Harbor Freight magnet jb welded to the back. It’s all good.

I had the Bushnell and it stop working after one round..
I was going to turn it in and I suddenly lost it.
Well when I used it the sound was not the best but the GPS was great.

“Best Golf Speakers” is a finally crafted oxymoron. Leave the tunes at home and enjoy the day. Maybe even have a conversation with your playing partners.

Jeff nailed it – if you need constant noise stimulation, then be cool and use ear buds. I have no interest in hearing what music selection you think is cool.
I would love to see a ban on music play on all golf courses and would play those that institute a ban more frequently. I don’t like or want the LIV experience – it’s clearly a failure anyway.

1000% 👍

I also agree. I would like to hear one of these users state why they believe I need to hear their music?

I had no issues w/ the guys jumping to LIV & taking the huge $, but when I turned on an LIV telecast one time, I heard music blaring. I thought one of my kids was playing music loud until I realized it was playing on the telecast. Very annoying, couldn’t watch it. Why does anyone need music on a golf course???

Few things in golf are more annoying than hearing someone’s crappy cart music. Maybe worse than those GPS-tracked carts that die when you happen to stray into those “forbidden zones” on the course. Technology we don’t need!

You may be using Speakers in the States, but you would be extremely unwise to bring one onto a British course. We loveour quiet courses, listening to nature, and the occasional curse. We go to play golf well, which needs concentration with a bit of banter. NOT SOMEONE’S CHOICE IN MUSIC!

Sounds great…need a fourth in your group? Don’t understand simpletons who can’t go a few hours w/o music!

The best golf speakers are earbuds. This way, I don’t have to listen to anyone’s music, and they can play it as loud as they want.

Agree.

100% agree

I live out a rural road & never have to listen to anyone else’s music at home – it’s nice.
At the golf course to not be a complete jerk I will listen to others music because I have no choice. The thought of being a jerk and destroying some rude bastard in a fistfight is a pleasant fantasy – but will remain just that.
The only good speakers on the golf course is a single earbud if you need music at all times to function. Polite and private you can still hear your playing partners if needed.

My favorite Bluetooth speaker on the course are my EarPods. Great sound and I don’t disturb any other golfers.

I’m OK w/ folks playing music (although I don’t see why) as long as I don’t hear it as I’m preparing to hit my shot.

I am very pleased to say that there is absolutely no chance of this being allowed at my unstuffy and very casual UK members club. I feel sorry that so many American golfers have to listen to the music of the selfish brain dead whilst playing a round.

No one “has” to listen to music. It’s a choice. And you will not hear the music being played by someone 100 yards away. Even the review of the best speaker said he could hear the music clearly from “nearly” 50 yards away. How often are you within 50, let alone 100, yards of another group? Almost never. If you don’t want to listen to music, don’t, and tell your playing partners not to play music. You will NOT hear anyone else’s music.
This music/speaker/golf issue is completely overblown and rife with straw man arguments.

I’m afraid either I’m not that accurate off the tee or other golfers aren’t because I often hear music from other groups on the public courses I play. You’re right it’s seldom really annoying. My guess is that will change. I also used to play many of these courses without many houses close to the holes. That is no longer true most are surrounded by housing now.

WRONG! It can be heard all the time. You’re fooling yourself because you’re one of the fools who think we need more noise on the golf course. I golf in part to have some peace and quiet from the everyday noise off the golf course. What a shame it is that people can’t be comfortable with quiet.

And if your playing partners (assuming in this case you’re playing w/ people you don’t know) say, “tough sh*t, I’m keeping my music on all the time”, what’s your next step?

I will be you dollars to donuts, you are one of those people who hold their cell phone like a serving tray and put it on speaker, so everyone has to listen to your conversation.

Features and performance is important. But so is post purchase customer support. Initial feedback from Mileseey buyers is that customer and warranty support is non-existent.
Maybe add customer support to your things to test. A simple inquiry as to features or a “warranty” issue request to their customer service. Your experience would be helpful. I’d bet that the Bushnell would jump to the top if it was.

What sort of barbarian or savage would ever use or allow these on a golf course?
It’s bad enough hearing people on a golf course (especially those from a “certain country” who you normally hear before you see) without having to put up with their choice of music.

They’re all my ‘least wanted’ accessory.

There are no good golf speakers they all intrude upon the game, especially when morons play them so loud they can be heard on other holes.
I know we are stuck with this crap, but please show some respect nobody else wants to listen to YOUR music

OMG it’s finally here! This is like waiting for Christmas! Let the comments begin!! 🤣🤣🤣 Always my favorite review if the year.

Can’t wait for all the hate for music on course.
Now of course hearing the music from across the fairway or longer distances is a big no in my book. But if it may or maybe not be heard from the tee box depending how close the path is to it, lighten up.

Nothing wrong with the Bose SoundLink Micro. On sale for $79 and has plenty of uses besides clipping to your bag. Works great in the garage while hitting in the sim too.
I’m not a fan of music all of the time on the golf course, especially if it’s breaking dB levels, but if I’m playing alone, I keep it to a dull roar on my push cart.

please use earbuds if you want music. We all have different tastes and sensitivity to sound while playing. You don’t talk while others are hitting, there is no reason to be forcing your music on others while we are on the course.

I came just to read the comments from the people that hate music on the golf course and I have not been disappointed … as for me, I’m a boomer and all the guys I play with have speakers and listen to music while golfing … but to each there own :)

That is the point. To each their own…I want silence while you want music. You can honor that ideal by wearing ear buds.
