NEW RELEASE – The Footjoy Stratos

NEW RELEASE – The Footjoy Stratos

Just in time for Christmas. Footjoy have released a new line for you men and women golfers out there. The FJ Stratos to be exact.

The Stratos shoe is designed to blend in on and off the course. Not to mention the Stratos being 100% waterproof, having a new VersaTrax+ outsole and a new cushioning system.

Although they do remind me of another shoe model, you might want to take a deeper look into these ones.

Grab yours today for $199.99.

Any idea what last these are built on?

Looks like a fresher approach for FJ. Just hate the white outer sole trend in recent years. Always shoes dirt. Do not wear my golf shoes indoors as they accumulate too much dirt to track into the house.

I don’t like those big white rubber soles either – try the Mr Clean foam wall scrubber pads- works great

I am sure they are comfortable and perform well but the top and front areas of the shoes look like my dad’s diabetic shoes. Not a great look to me

I don’t know about everyone else but I think spikeless shoes aren’t worth it. Why? The little numbs always wear down within one season and the shoes become useless. With spiked shoes, you can always change out the spikes. A $10 container of spikes is much cheaper than $150-$200 for a new set of shoes.

Still may not justify in your mind, but I have had great success with Adidas Tour360 Spikeless lasting 2 seasons plus. At least 100 walking rounds per pair with little wear. Maybe the jokes on me, because the uppers are starting to look worse than the bottoms. However, currently under $100 on various web sites, so not bad.

For the life of me I doing understand the reason you’d wear golf shoes “off the course”. Don’t you have anything else in your closet? And for that price, I could buy a great pair of golf shoes and one, maybe two pairs of casual shoes/sneakers also.

You’ve got to wear them to work so your wife can’t tell when you’re in the office or out on the course. If you only put golf shoes on when you are headed out the door to play a round of golf, it would be a dead give away.

I like the sole tread but the toe wrap is is just ugly. They must have a lot of shoe last patterns to use up ,it’s same ol’ “you can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig”

These are very nice, if they look as good in person and fit, I’ll buy the blue ones.

Look nice, I haven’t worn FJ in several years since it seems like several other companies have started making better products. Hoping that the Code Chaos comes out with a 2..0 with better colors.

When would you expect them to come out? Early spring?

In a normal year, I’d expect to see them launch at the PGA show. Hard to predict for 2021 but if I had to guess we probably see them announced in the next 6 weeks.
