(4) TESTERS WANTED: DST Compressor Training Aid

It’s Pop Quiz time.

What do Charley Hoffman, Sergio Garcia, James Hahn, Hideki Matsuyama and Danny Willett have in common?

Yes, they’ve all won some pretty big golf tournaments this year. But more specifically, they’re all card-carrying members of DST Nation.

TESTERS WANTED!

The DST Compressor is one the most unique and effective training aids we’ve ever reviewed here at MyGolfSpy.  According to DST, this funny looking golf club with the bent shaft works wonders in helping you impact the ball more crisply, consistently and powerfully.

Can this deceptively simple training tool make you a better ball striker? MyGolfSpy is looking for four dedicated golfers to try out the DST Compressor and see for themselves.

HOW TO APPLY:

We want 4 of you to try out and review (and keep) the DST Compressor lineup. Testers will receive 3 clubs total: the DST Compressor Wedge and DST Compressor 8-iron, as well as a DST CR-10 transition iron (with a straight shaft), as well as training instructions from the company.

MyGolfSpy takes its reviews pretty seriously, so please read these application instructions carefully:

  1. If you aren’t already, you MUST join the MyGolfSpy Community Forum (sign up here)
  2. You MUST apply in the Community Forum’s Official DST Compressor Testers Wanted Thread (click here)

It’s as easy as that!

This club has made me an iron player,I warmup with it and I’m ready to play.I think this is the best tool to teach high handicap players how to hit down and move the weight to front foot.I told a hacker friend to get one and his game when to the next level (good).
I’m not a believer or buy gadgets ,but this is one is all you need.
Ps, I don’t work for DST or sleep with anyone from there.

i think this training aid would help me make better contact with the ball. I then to scoop the ball rather than hitting down on it and i think this may help that.

This would add the consistency my iron game cries for.

Definitely the best training aid for MY swing that I’ve ever used . One of my major swing tendencies is a lazy follow through which results in a handsy pull/pull-draw. The DST gets me back me to swing properly through the ball.

I have the 8 iron and am looking to acquire the wedge as well. I’ll be curious to see if your testers experience the same.

I also have one but I am unimpressed, the only thing that changed in my swing, was a more over the top downswing. Perhaps a tool best left to the professionals, which is kind of ironic.

I will be interested in the testers follow up.

Decent training aid. I bought one about a month ago and have been using it regularly with some success. You can still cheat but overall it does get your hands forward during contact. I find aligning my hands a bit challenging with the curved shaft. The jury’s still out but early impressions are it helps some. My big fault is not getting my hands forward enough at contact so I’m hopeful this will help with this over time. Can’t be all bad if so many on the PGA are using it currently though.
