$8 Versus $30 Golf Gloves: Is There Really A Difference?

More often than not, an increase in price means an increase in performance, quality and/or reputation.

For example: You and I both know that name-brand toilet paper works much better than that in most restaurants and gas stations.

This thought set the stage for my latest question surrounding golf gloves: Is there really a difference between an $8 and a $30 glove?

We tested our winning budget glove (the Infinity Golf Glove) head-to-head against our co-winning $30 glove (the PING Tour).

$30 PING Tour

The PING Tour is one of the most breathable golf gloves we tested this year.

The fingers have ventilation on the front and back while the wrist features moisture-wicking technology to soak up sweat during your round.

The PING Tour is a tank. It’s rare to see a golf glove this thick that still gives that “second-skin” feeling. If you want a glove that’s thick but feels thin, there isn’t a better option.

One of the ways I judge fit is the ability to use a phone/computer with my golf glove on. This simple test helps illustrate the “second-skin” feeling most golfers are searching for. The PING Tour passed my test with flying colors.

$8 Infinity Golf Glove

The Infinity Golf Glove has won our “Best Value” category the last three years, cementing itself as a notable budget-friendly glove.

The Infinity Golf Glove features similar breathability to the PING Tour but the bulkiness traps a bit more moisture.

Circling back to the phone/computer test, the Infinity Golf Glove performed slightly worse than the PING Tour but still allowed for decent usage with the glove on.

The fit is a significant step down from the PING Tour with additional space at the end of the fingers and a small amount of bagginess on the palm.

Which one should you pick?

It depends on what you value in a golf glove. If you’re searching for the second-skin feeling, the PING Tour is a better option. If you’re searching for the best mesh of performance and budget, the Infinity Golf Glove is the glove for you.

When comparing the two, you can expect a small drop-off in materials and overall performance, but the contrast isn’t quite as stark as the “Cottonelle versus gas station toilet paper” analogy.

Both gloves are the best options for what they were intended to be.

If you’re a casual golfer looking for the best deal, buy the Infinity Golf Glove. If you’re a competitor looking for the best performance and technology, the $30 PING Tour is better suited for your quest.

If neither gloves piqued your interest, here’s the full list of our 2026 glove testing. There’s a golf glove for everyone and the data shows that, yes, you should wear a golf glove no matter which you choose.

Am I the only one that uses Finger10 gloves? They are less than $6, fit great and last.

I abused MG golf clubs for years at a $9.95 price. They’re very durable him very reliable. They fit very well if you use their fitting chart and I have used the iPhone test with them and they work fine.

I’ve tried plenty of different gloves; inexpensive to top-of-the-line.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, if you include cost, beats the Kirkland Signature glove. I’m a range rat, and I get WEEKS out of a KS glove. I’ve had Titleist and Footjoy gloves just fall apart. For $20++ each. Nope.

I bought 2 Infinity gloves for my trip to Scotland golfing with my son. They fit well and felt great. Problem is that neither glove lasted a full round! The palm tore on both gloves. I tried to email Infinity several times with no response back. As a veteran myself I am disappointed.

My public course only costs $32 walking 18 on weekdays. I doubt I will ever pay same for a glove.

And, my Kirklands glove allows me to hit 270-280 off the tee. Last round 12 of 13 drives in fairway. Can’t blame my miss on the glove.

My last round I was 2 for 3 on green side bunker up and down.

I can’t see how a new glove would fix my over the top struggles.

I have tried to buy the Infinity on 2 occasions this year and they are sold out of my size. Based on the comment re fingers too long and baggy palm, should a guy normally in a Medium buy a Small instead?

I have been an Infinity glove customer for a few years now. They fit me perfectly (Large Cadet) and wear just as well as the FootJoys. I don’t experience any of the downsides you mention.

A really affordable and long lasting glove is the Finger 10 gloves. I prefer the synthetic with leather palm and thumb. They fit true to size and and last a ridiculous long time. Sometimes as long as 25 rounds. Give them a try.

Have tried both top end and the econo live in Canada and at season end the clubs put inventory on sale so stock up then for a great price. So far my hands have stayed the same size year after year . So bacteria to the point the better the glove the better the fit I find

Some of the $20-$30 gloves are nicer feeling but many don’t last much longer than the cheap ones I buy…..and they don’t help my swing. I like the Kirkland gloves where I can get 4 for the cost of 1. My favorites are actually the cheap ones with more nylon that I get off Amazon or other golf deal sites. They breathe better and last longer for me at a fraction of the price. I spend the savings on good golf shoes.

I have used the infinity glove for some time. I buy 4 for around $35 total and rotate them during each round. Also they are a veteran owned company i believe which for this USAF retiree means a lot.

      Absolutely !!! No shame here.

I can still hit 270 off the tee as 66 year old.

I can still get out of bunkers.

My new/fresh/gently used.glove has never cause me to miss. It is all on me.

I buy $8 gloves on Amazon in 3 pack. They last as long as expensive gloves and they have a magnet on the closure for a ball marker

Which golf glove is that? What is the name of this Amazon golf glove? What does everyone think is the coolest glove for wearing on those really hot days?

Sam’s Members Mark are also good for the price. After using real expensive gloves for years I have found a $25 glove very similar to a $8 glove when I add up my score after 18 holes.

I don’t often use a glove. However, I have used the MG Golf DynaGrip and Dynagrip Elite off and on for years. I have also used Footjoy gloves from time to time. Honestly the MG Golf gloves are every bit as good as the Footjoy gloves at less than half of the price. The only reason to buy the more expensive glove is if you can buy them on sale or you just have to use a big name brand because that’s what the pros wear.

Maybe it’s just luck on my part, but the Kirkland glove fits me…like a glove. I might notice a difference I wore it side by side against a more premium glove, but they provide me with a great grip and fit. I don’t see a reason to spend $30 on a glove.
