A budget pair of sunglasses fit for every golfer

What We Tried:

Tifosi Sanctum SL: Tifosi has positioned themselves as a leader in multi-functional sunglasses. Whether you’re a golfer, runner or anything in between, Tifosi has sunglasses for you.

Who Tried It:

Ty: Soft Goods Testing Manager and wannabe golf influencer. I’m not a big sunglasses guy but I’m a sucker for the right pair. When it comes to sunglasses, I’m picky. I don’t like when the sunglasses block my peripheral vision or when the nosepiece is uncomfortable.

Lucky for me, the Tifosi Sanctum SL avoided both of my biggest pet peeves.

Built for anything

Tifosi doesn’t make sunglasses that are “just” for golf. Tifosi makes sunglasses for athletes participating in any outdoor sport. If you’re Corey Hart, maybe you’ll even wear them at night.

I wore the Sanctum SL on and off the course and they cranked things up a notch.

The wins

I can’t stand when I can see the frames when I look side to side and up and down. The Sanctum SL lenses are wide enough that I barely notice I’m wearing sunglasses.

The nosepiece is elite. It’s not only comfortable but has a sticky feel that keeps the sunglasses locked in place during your round. The Sanctum SL stay locked in place so you can golf without worrying about your glasses.

The $39.95 price tag is an absolute steal.

If you’re balling on a budget, there are very few options that will give you more bang for your buck.

100% UV protection – nuff’ said.

The losses

The Sanctum SL sunglasses get dirty easily. They were easy to clean but it can get annoying to constantly need to clean your sunglasses. They came with a microfiber towel but if you’re anything like me, you’ll lose it.

This is the big downfall for me as someone who wears prescription glasses full-time. I was able to wear the Sanctum SL over my prescription glasses, (like I do with many of my other sunglasses) but they need to be available in RX.

Who should buy?

The Tifosi Sanctum SL is made for a specific group of golfers. If one or more of these things aligns with you and your preferences, you should strongly consider copping a pair.

  1. You prefer wide lenses. The Sanctum SL is right in line with the widest of the wide.
  2. You’re looking for a performance-based bargain. The Sanctum SL is top tier. $39.95 is unreal.
  3. You’re looking for multiple colorways. The Sanctum SL is available in eight colorways with different tints and mirrors.
  4. You run back and forth from the course to other forms of exercise. Tifosi is meant for multi-dimensional athletes.
  5. You’ve been searching for that “locked-in” feel. The Sanctum SL will stay in place for every swing, chip and putt.

Tifosi makes lenses specifically for golf. They also have frames that take multiple lenses with different tints. You are right. They are a bargain.
