The Phenom Driver for 2009
The phenomenon of the 9015D driver from Adams Golf continues. The driver that was originally only designed for the “Long Drivers of America” seems to have found a more permanent spot in the new Adams Golf lineup for 2009. Or at least this picture would lead you to believe that…this new picture displays the name of both the 9015D and the A4. The A4 being the suspected name or their new line for next year.
Formerly Known As
It did not take long for for the Adams A4 Driver (formerly 9015D) to find its way into some big time PGA stars bags. Rory Sabbatini and Charles Howell III put it in play almost immediately after its inception. And almost all have commented on how solid this driver is. The MYGOLFSPY team reviewed it back in June (read article) and this is how we felt:
“As soon as I hit my first ball with the 9015D it instantly took me back 5 years, almost like a song can do. It has been a long time since I have hit a driver that not only felt this solid but also sounded this complete.”
Adams Golf almost doesn’t have a choice on whether or not they release this driver to the masses in 2009. Because the underground movement on both forums and bulletin boards across the web have spoken, and it looks like Adams has listened.
For Hire: New Painter
I just hope that Adams works on the engraves and paint fill…still lookin kinda shotty. We noted this in the previous article and assumed it would be taken care of but it still looks like they are having some issues. But I still don’t think you will have a problem looking past the paint issues after you hit your first ball with this new Adams A4 Driver.
