Callaway Paradym Limited Edition Drivers

‘Tis the season for … well, for many things, but it’s the time of year when Limited Edition products hit the golf market and everyone involved in making, marketing, and selling them goes out of their way to avoid saying it’s to celebrate the Masters – even if we all know that’s exactly what it is.

Trademarks, people. (FWIW, Augusta National’s legal team sends the most polite cease and desist letters. There’s truly something to be said for southern hospitality.)

I digress …

While we expect there will be more, we’ll credit Callaway with being the first in 2023 to announce a special/limited edition driver. Launching through its Callaway Customs program is a special green and yellow version of the Paradym driver – and no, that doesn’t make it an Epic (at least I don’t think it does).

This Limited Edition is 100% Paradym, and with that, you get Callaway’s 360° carbon chassis, which the company says produces unparalleled distance and tighter dispersion.

The Rest of the Paradym Limited Edition Package

As part of the Paradym Limited Edition Driver package, you also get a HZRDUS Silver shaft with a custom cosmetic and perhaps most notably, a Callaway Customs headcover which pulls the package together and reinforces the theme of the day (which is the Masters, even if Callaway can’t say it).

As is typical for these sorts of releases, the Paradym Limited Edition Driver carries a hefty upcharge.

The street price is $699.99 and while that kind of hike is tough to swallow on paint alone, the headcover is well-executed, so for guys who love the season’s first major or themed headcovers, it’s not particularly egregious.

Paradym Limited Edition Driver – Specs and Availability

The Callaway Paradym Limited Edition Driver is available in 9- and 10.5-degrees in right-hand only. The Custom Limited HZRDUS Silver shaft is available in 50g (regular) and 60g (stiff). The stock grip is a Golf Pride New Decade MCC (Black/Green).

Only 750 will be sold globally.

A limited number of Paradym Triple Diamond heads are also available.

I’m sure somebody will buy them – but to me, looks like pollen. Not a fan…

That headcover looks fancy. Might be worth investing in this limited edition club. The only downside would be after the novelty wears off from looking at it and showing your friends you are stuck playing a Callaway driver.

I am a huge fan of MYGOLFSPY and I truly believe your evaluations provide significant value to all readers that follow the site. I view your company as constantly improving your evaluation process and the only true antidote to massive marketing campaigns launched every year.
This is a “light criticism intended in good spirit. I see an irony in the fact we are looking at a $100 -200 upcharge for paint and a headcover on a driver- I get the fact someone would like to show off the “limited edition, I can afford it you can’t model.”. I will wait for the one that goes 5 yards further and then cough up the $200. The buying decision will be based on your evaluation process. I may be waiting a while. Every year manufacturers promise 5 additional yards distance, if that was true the2023 Paradyme driver would be 50 yards longer than the 2012 RAXR X , at the same swing speed, my guess is this may not be the case.

I will admit I don’t love the upcharge. That said, we pretty much only cover equipment and while I might not be a fan we have readers who are, so we are therefore going to show them these types of releases when they are announced.
