These Vice Galaxy Balls are Out of this World

Vice Golf has never been afraid to throw some noodles (or more accurately paint) to see what sticks.

Case in point, this pretty wild Vice Pro Galaxy, which, as far as I know, is the only golf ball with a mostly purple urethane cover.

I say mostly because as part of Vice’s hot-selling Drip series, the apparently two-tone purple is accented with drips of white paint.

Recently re-stocked, it’s likely this Vice Special Edition golf ball will sell out reasonably fast.

Who wants Purple?

While the Vice Pro Galaxy may prove to be our putter guy’s (Dave Wolfe) favorite golf ball ever, I’m not sure the golf world as a whole is ready to embrace the purple rain approach to a golf ball.

That said, part of the allure of Vice is the company’s bold approach to pretty much everything it does. With that, some things are going to be polarizing, but at least you have options.

An excellent performer in the high-compression space, the Vice Pro is currently available in White, Neon Lime, Drip Red Blue, Drip Lime, Shade Orange Red, and of course, Galaxy Drip.

My girlfriend had a topflite multipack that had purple golf balls similar in color. They were tough to see on the fairway, damn near impossible to see in the rough. will cost you strokes, we left them on a bench half way through round.

It is useless color. Nothing is better than white, tbh

Good luck finding that ball in dark rough. Great, my round is going to get longer now when clowns play this ball in front of me.

Used Volvik Vivid of different colors for 12 month period and found them difficult to follow in the air and to pick out on the fairway at distance, much easier in the rough but took off from club face and corrected to straight hit in mid- air, changed to Mizuno RB MAX and haven’t looked back

I absolutely love astronomy and love the design of this ball. However, I have a feeling it would be VERY difficult to find on the golf course. Especially when I’m searching in the rough more often than not. LOL.

Recently switched from the Srixon White/Yellow XV Divide to the Vice Pro Neon Lime color. Softer, longer, super easy to find. Selfishly, I like to play a ball that I can easily identify as mine.
And…the drip series look dirty even when clean and are really difficult to find, even in mid fairway–suspect the same would be true of a Purple ball.

I like Vice trying/doing different stuff. I like the Pro Drip, and I personally have no objection to playing a purple ball.

Yep. Tried a blue ball once. Disappeared in the rough. Got lost in the sky on sunny days and lost in the shadows every day.
