About Evnroll

Founded by Guerin Rife in 2015, Evnroll has quickly become a well-respected name in the golfing world, particularly for their innovative putter designs. The brand is known for its patented SweetFace Technology, which helps to ensure consistent ball speed and accuracy across the entire face of the putter. Evnroll putters have regularly been featured in MyGolfSpy’s Most Wanted testing, where they have consistently received high marks for their performance and innovation.

Aesthetic appeal and first impressions

The initial reaction to the Evnroll Neo Classic putters was overwhelmingly positive, with testers appreciating the blend of classic design elements with modern touches. The putters feature a timeless look that feels contemporary, appealing to golfers who value both tradition and innovation.

Tester Russtopherb remarked,

“The putter has a sleek and refined look that immediately stands out. The attention to detail in the milling and the subtle use of color make it a piece of art in your bag.”

The quality of the materials used, particularly the matte finish, was praised for its ability to reduce glare on sunny days. This small but significant detail enhances the overall user experience of our testers.

Performance: On-course experience

When it came to performance, the Neo Classic putters did not disappoint. Testers consistently mentioned the excellent feedback provided by the putters, allowing them to feel confident in their strokes. The distribution of weight created an ideal balance and feel that was a key talking point.

ChitownM2 shared,

“The putter feels incredibly stable through the stroke, which gives me the confidence to commit to my line.”

Another significant aspect of the performance was the consistency in roll. The testers noted that the Evnroll technology truly made a difference for them, ensuring that even off-center hits maintained consistent distance and direction.

AndySP commented,

“It’s not just marketing hype. The grooves on the face really do help in keeping the ball on line, even when you don’t hit it perfectly.”

On the greens, the putters excelled across various conditions, from fast, undulating surfaces to slower, flat greens. The adaptability of the putter across different green speeds was highlighted as a major advantage.

Marty2shanks noted,

“I didn’t have to adjust my stroke significantly between different courses. The putter just works.”

On-course data and statistics

Data collected during on-course testing further supported the subjective feedback. Testers reported improvements in key metrics such as putts per round and distance control. For example, russtopherb, who typically struggled with long putts, noticed a significant decrease in three-putts, attributing this improvement to the consistent roll and feel of the Neo Classic putter.

Another tester, ChitownM2, used a launch monitor to track their putting stats and observed a noticeable improvement in putt dispersion.

ChitownM2 shared,

“My average distance from the hole on 20-footers decreased by nearly a foot, which is a huge confidence booster.

This data-driven insight underscores the putter’s ability to positively impact a golfer’s overall game.

What they liked

The testers had plenty of positives to share about the Neo Classic putters. The blend of aesthetics and performance was a common theme, with the design and feel of the putter being mentioned as standout features.

Russtopherb described the feel as “Buttery soft, yet responsive enough to provide clear feedback on each stroke.”

Durability was another area where the putters excelled. Even after several rounds of testing, the putters showed minimal signs of wear, with the finish holding up exceptionally well. This durability was particularly appreciated by those who play frequently, as it assured them that the putter would maintain its aesthetic and performance qualities over time.

Marty2shanks summed up the consistency of the roll by saying,

“Knowing that even a slight mishit won’t drastically affect my putt’s outcome is a game-changer. It allows me to focus more on my line and less on making the perfect contact.”

What they didn’t like

While the overall feedback was positive, the testers highlighted a few areas where the Neo Classic putters could improve. The primary critique was related to the alignment aids. Some testers found the alignment lines on the putter to be too subtle, making it difficult to line up putts on longer attempts.

AndySP mentioned,

“I wish the alignment aid was a bit more pronounced. It required extra focus to ensure I was properly aimed.”

Another point of contention was the headcover. While it served its purpose, a few testers felt that it didn’t match the premium quality of the putter itself.

Marty2shanks suggested,

“For a putter of this caliber, the headcover should reflect the same level of craftsmanship. It’s a small detail, but it matters.”

Durability and longevity

The durability of the Evnroll Neo Classic putters was a major highlight. Testers were impressed with how well the putter held up after extensive use. The finish showed no signs of wear and the milling on the face remained sharp, ensuring consistent performance over time.

Russtopherb noted,

“This putter isn’t just a tool; it’s a confidence builder.”

This durability gives golfers peace of mind that their investment in a premium putter will last for many seasons.

Conclusion: A worthwhile investment

In summary, the Evnroll Neo Classic putters offer a compelling combination of classic design, modern technology and consistent performance. The testers were particularly impressed with the putter’s feel, the consistency of its roll and its durability. While there were minor critiques regarding the alignment aids and the headcover, these did not overshadow the overwhelmingly positive experiences reported.

For golfers looking for a putter that blends tradition with innovation, the Evnroll Neo Classic series is a worthy contender. It provides the confidence and consistency needed to improve performance on the greens, backed by a design that is both aesthetically pleasing and built to last.

I have the Neo ER2B and I have the original ER2B. I found the new Neo classic to have a slightly firmer feel off the face and that the face is hotter. The ball seems to jump off the face if you put some pace behind the stroke. But they roll consistently better than any other putter I’ve used. As far as the cover not being “premium” to keep up with the putter itself. The cover to me is just fine. The magnetic closure is great! The only thing they should consider changing is to make the cover softer similar to Scotty covers.

IMO the putter appearance and materials is classy and expensive appearing. I had my choice of several color combos and materials at my EVNroll studio fitting., and some custom tour covers were or are available for a modest uncharge. On the downside–I really, really dislike the bulky magnets which add unnecessary weight, and there is too much padding material on the inside so the putter hangs up when trying to slide into the cover–agree a switch to velcro and a Scotty-like AM&E cover would would be a plus !

It’s a Rife putter! The mallet is exactly the same as an old Rife Barbado’s. You can get them on EBay for less than $50. Guerin Rife is the engineer designer for Evenroll and owned Rife putters.

Got fitted at EVNroll in Carlsbad last month using Prov1’s in their studio. Went home with a Neo Classic ER1.2 . Felt fine in the studio but really disliked the sound and feel on greengrass, especially with my gamer Srixon XV Divide. They quickly exchanged for my “2nd choice”, an EV2 without an insert, and it has been truly like magic ! So, Word to the wise–make sure you choose your putter with your own gamer ball Outside on greengrass.
